Yeah, a little while ago I reviewed the Red Stripe version of these. The Reds shape at a higher tone than the Greens. So I'd recommend getting a set of each, the two reds in the right hand, and the two greens in the Left, with the Balls going off in opposite directions. This would give you more opportunity for sub timing definition and subtlety. However, these maracas as thick wood, with a very dampened quiet sound. They're great for practice when you don't want your back ground music to disturb others, or even just your cats. But, no, in any real party where the music would be cranked up to Party Level, well, these Clunkers would go inaudible. Read more
