These spoons looks really nice, though there was a bit of an inelegant cut at the inner seam that could create a break point over time. However, as it stands, they're loud, on a basic level they are super easy to play with the capacity for more advanced techniques. This is my first ever actual "instrument" spoons, so I have no comparison, I do wish they were spread slightly further apart with a bit more of a lip on the lower spoon, as that would make some of the more advanced things a little easier to do. Either way, they are what they are and what they are is fun. I really am enjoying listening to my playlist and just randomly picking these up and clanking along to my favorite tunes. I'm not going to speak to the value for money as there seems to be a healthy amount of competition of various prices and I do not know whether this particular material makes it worth the higher price tag. Such a fun little instrument. I remember when I was a kid, we had an auditorium presentation where different musical talents showed up and taught us about unique instruments, the musical spoons was one of them. These are just like that, only instead of steel spoons these are handcrafted out of a piece of rosewood and they products such a pleasing percussive sound. These musical spoons definitely take some practice to get the most out of them. But once I got going, I probably had fun for easily 2-3 hours before I realized how much time had passed by. I am an amateur musician, and I am always looking for unique sounds that I can add to my music. I'm such these will make their way into a song soon enough. Read more

This is stunning . I’ve been wanting to learn a new instrument For a while , and the spoons was one of them. These are larger than I realized, but in a good way . The bowls are pretty deep and large . The sound is very loud . My husband did not like its sound until I handed It to him, and then suddenly he loved it . The wood is very nice quality. The finish is smooth and the color is deep . They seem to put love into it . Really gorgeous and feels good in the hand . Instruments are like extensions of ourselves so you want it to feel good in your hand . I’m still learning and getting the knack . I’m glad I’m able to with this one . The presentation was nice as well , I think They’d make a great gift , if you don’t live with the person or you have very thick walls since I’m sure listening to a learner nearby could be a bit rattling . Overall I’m very happy with the quality . Im no expert but even if I dont Excel , it’s pretty enough to sit by my harp and goof around with from time to time . The media could not be loaded. The workmanship of this device is amazing. Very well designed and made. Nicely finished. Very attractive. The sound quality is great. Good resonance. I remember growing up when my Dad played the spoons (literally two spoons held together by how he held them in his hand). He also played what he called "Rattle Bone" which was actually flat pieces of wood. Interestingly, this is sort of a much modified combination of the two. They are called and shaped like musical spoons yet the sound is quite similar to Dad's "Rattle Bones". These are very cool, and worlds easier to play than either of its two predecessors beings that it is all one piece, so you don't have to use a finger as a type of fulcrum.
