Just about fits the mattress properly. I would be giving this a 5 star if it had a bit more coverage on the edges. That being said, it is a very nice protector for the mattress. I haven't put it on the bed yet but I laid it on top to make sure it really was a CA King. I washed it. Because of its waterproof feature, it was really wet & dripping, so I left it hanging in the washer draped over the opened lid. As it dried from the top down, I would raise it up, until it was damp dry. Then I put it in the dryer. I'm assuming it will protect the mattress, but not make my husband sweaty. I'm not telling him it's waterproof! His mattress is t hick to begin with + 3" memory foam + a padded mattress pad, made making the bed a challenge!
