This light is very attractive and well made. It does not throw a lot of light--it's better suited to delineate a pathway or entrance rather than illuminate much of an area. At best, the light throws about 5 feet, so they would need to be spaced at no greater than ten foot intervals. The light is tall and likely will blow over or get knocked down unless secured. Although the instructions indicate mounting in concrete, I think the base could be staked in the ground (use wire stakes like the ones used for holiday inflatables) and that should be sufficient to prevent overturning.
