I originally used this product years ago when it was a sensation from Australia. It seemed all but forgotten. Well as I got older my legs had less hair than my chin. I was looking for a waxing agent. There it was on Amazon, Nads. The first time I used it again, it was a mess, sticky everywhere. Now after three uses I have learned to heat the container under warm water, carefully unscrew, dip the flat stick in softened Nads. It will spread more easily. I put a large amount on each side of my chin. I take a full size Nads cloth and rub it to warm each side. Then I tear it off quickly in the direction of the growth. The growth must be long enough for the product to grasp. Then I put the gooey Nad's cloth back on my chin to get any remaining problems. It works beautifully. I really like this product. It does take some getting use to. It is fully washable with either hot water or a bit of soap. Read more
I used it for the first time years ago and I hated it cause it was just sticky and did not remove one hair but now I know how to use it and it is super effective and mess free. I have always struggled with hot wax and all its residues but not any more YAY! To make sure it works you have to spread it really well and make a thin layer, if it is thick you would have the same result I had years ago. Then put the strip on and rub it few times to make sure it holds. Now the pull part, make sure you pull it horizontally and not vertically. Clean the residue with a wet towel and done! I used it for my legs and it is wonderful. For the bikini area I must say that it hurts more to apply it than to remove it. It is effective but way more painful than when applying for legs. The strips are washable and reusable. I love that! No more ingrowth hair, sticky residues or waiting for the wax to warm. Read more
After years and years of microwaving wax to remove facial hair, I was initially very impressed with this no-heat wax. The first time used, it removed about 90% of the hairs...a VAST improvement over hot wax. The next four times used, this product removed 0 hairs. Zero! It was like smearing honey on my face and expecting it to remove hair. I tried applying it directly to my skin. I tried applying it to the strips. I warmed the jar in the sink with hot water. I used it room temperature. I applied heavy pressure to the strips. I applied light pressure to the strips. I rubbed the strips in the direction of hair growth. I washed, dried, patted with alcohol and re-dried my skin. I don't know what I got right the first time, but messed up every other time.. Four Times. 😒 At any rate, I don't have patience for such tedious procedures and inconsistent/nonexistent results. I am Extremely Disappointed with this purchase and I would never recommend this sticky gimmick. My search continues. On the Pro side: this sticky gimmick DOES clean up very easily with hot water, so that's worth mentioning. I have been using NADS since the TV infomercial days when Sue Ismiel sold me on this product she created for her daughter, likely since 2000. Since then I have used it faithfully on my arms and bikini area on a monthly basis. While always mildly painful, it was an easy product to use - affordable compared to professional hair removal services, and effective at removing unwanted hair. But lately - within the last year or so - I find the formula is more sticky, more likely to cause those toe-curling moments (not the good kind) when the wax will not come off my skin with the strip. It causes all the pain and leaves the hair (and wax) on my body. I’ve even been fearful of it removing my skin! No amount of reapplying wax or strips will remove the hair, so I have to wash it off, wait and try again later when my skin isn’t as sensitive to the trauma. I don’t think this is user error - I would consider myself an expert user of this product - very experienced (20+ years), even at performing at-home Brazilian waxes on myself. Something has changed! If the manufacturer is reading this - please go back to the original formula! Anyone else notice this issue? Read more
