So far, I've tried Veet Gel Hair Remover Cream with Essential Oils, Neomen Hair Removal Cream, and this, and I think this one is the best. All three did their jobs - removing hair. But for Veet, I had to wait longer (as I have thick hair) and you have to use a spatula to scrape off the hair. And Veet has its unique bad odor. Neomen was better in terms of the odor, but it still has some odor. Not too bad. Neomen was milder than Veet in that it didn't require a spatula. But it still took full 10 minutes for me to remove hair successfully. This product, Nair, is really quick. I think it only took 5 minutes to get about the same results. And this one seems to completely dissolve the entire hair, while the other two products simply attack hair near the skin. It seems like the other two products mainly attack the root part, but Nair makes the whole hair weak so that it can be easily removed. I haven't had any skin trouble using it so far. I actually haven't had any issue with the other two products, so it might be just because my skin is not that sensitive? But anyway, I didn't have any issues. And most of all, this product has no bad odor! I've seen reviews of other Nair products that have bad odors, but this one doesn't have any bad odor because of the cocoa butter smell. So I love it. The sent is very pleasant, not strong at all. My own skin was not affected in any way because of the contents of the bottle. And it was so easy to use that I just put it on about 5 minutes before I got in the shower and washed it off. My skin was as soft as a baby's bottom. Read more

It's been many years since I have used Nair (its what I used prior to learning to shave when I was a kid). But due to an injury I can no longer reach or bend very well, so shaving is not really an option, enter Nair. I will say the smell is still pretty rough, I don't know that Nair is ever going to smell great. It's easy to apply, but you do need to have a decently thick for it to work really well, which means going through a bottle will only take 2-3 times, and that's kind of a bummer. It did work, with no issue, I do have sensitive skin, but I'm not prone to chemical burns; so it didn't irritate my skin at all, and I was able to leave it on for the max time to ensure that removal worked, and that didn't result in any chemical burns or anything like that. I wouldn't use this product long term, I just prefer shaving, but it does work and I will use until I am healed from my injury. Read more

This product does contain allergens! Be careful when using this if you have sensitive skin. I didn't get a rash the first time I used it, but it got progressively worse after that. It also didn't remove hair very well. I used it on my legs and left it on for the maximum time (ten minutes), but I still ended up with patches of hair untouched. I am giving it three stars because it isn't the company's fault that I am allergic, but it wasn't great at its purpose. Read more
