Love these
I literally ordered 5. I love them for emergency water in my car. I use them on road trips and they are THICK. Thicker than a 32 oz (the 48 oz seem thin). BIG, THICK cap. No spilling like the thin ones from the grocery store which tend to leak all over my car and are generally not reusable more than once. I like that I can make this one purchase now and likely use them the rest of my life. Instead of continue to purchase single use plastic from the grocery store. Also, growing up in Florida during hurricane seasons the gallons sell out and then you're screwed. I took these 5 plus a few 32oz to a campsite in a desert grassland that had no water. I also took them to North Cascade NP and it's so nice to just fill up at the campsite spigot with fresh mountain water. I also was able to share with a hiker who didn't realize the trail head didn't have water, I poured him almost a gallon from my "supply". If I was using a single use grocery store gallon, I would have had to give him the jug so this was a positive social interaction of sharing. Furthermore, gallons at the grocery store used to be $0.80, now they're like $1.49. I suppose this is a much larger amount of plastic per bottle but hopefully over the lifetime of the bottles (or my lifetime as they seem very sturdy), I can stop contributing waste to environment. I feel very prepared in general with these for any kind of sudden water shortage, or spontaneous road trip. They are also simply beautiful. Sounds weird saying that about a water bottle but I love the clear sturdy plastic and big white thick cap. They are beautiful and easy to grab with one hand. Read more
