My kid brings this to kindergarten every day and it’s been perfect. It’s easy for him to open and close on his own, and it hasn’t leaked once in his backpack. It’s tough, easy to wash, and just the right size for small hands. He loves using it, and I love not having to worry about spills. Definitely a great pick for school! Just have to your kid figure it out before using it. Do be aware, the latching part does tend to split right in the middle.
