I'm doing this review after 3 months of use. This water bottle is just great. Sturdy, durable, easy to clean, easy to carry, measured in fluid ounces and milliliters. I remember spending a lot of time looking for the perfect wide mouthpiece water bottle and this is it. Great price, amazing product. I don't know why it is so hard to find a good water bottle that lasts these days. Other water bottles just keep adding useless stuff like 'sleek design' or rubber parts or a mouthpiece that breaks after 4 months of use and is super hard to clean. That's why I like this water bottle so much, Nalgene has kept it elegant and good quality. I see myself using this water bottle for years. Read more

I mainly use glass water bottles. Even as a child I disliked the taste of drinking from plastic or metal. But glass isn't always ideal, or even allowed. I bought this bottle to use in situations where I can't take my glass ones due to weight or breakability. I know Nalgene has a good reputation and I expect it to last quite a long time. I also prefer my bottles without complex drinking mechanisms. The simpler it is, the less places for bacteria to hide, and the less likely it is to break. So I appreciate that this just has a simple screw top. The part that connects the cap to the bottle is always what breaks first on most bottles, so I'm careful with it. But it seems quite durable so far. I use my Life Factory bottles with just a screw cap for most things (even at home I use them instead of regular glasses). So I'm used to drinking from a wide mouth with screw threads. It doesn't bother me at all. If it bothers you at first, don't worry! You get used to it and stop even noticing. As a bonus, I really like the color I chose! More unique than plain blue, but still not crazy. Read more

Writing this review it surprises me that I have had my Nalgene water bottle for about a year now. With regular washing, I assure this bottle will not fail you. I dropped it onto asphalt from 10 feet while full and nothing has made more than a scratch (if anything they're just battle scars). Seriously though, this bottle is optimal: it is 32 oz which is enough for half a day's water, it has a wide mouth so it's nice and easy to clean by hand, the lid has a strong loop for storage on a carabiner, and the plastic is stronger that any bottle I've owned previously. I recommend this water bottle. Did I mention that Nalgene also sells lids which narrow the mouth so that you don't accidentally get water all over you in the car? Life-straw also sells little lids just for this bottle which are mini filters like the full sized thing--now that is handy for hiking! Read more

Not much to say other than it works well and is my go-to brand for water bottles. Read more

The "wide mouth" is nice for filling without spilling, but the lid is not a squeeze-bottle top it is just a screw-on cap. It is very durable plastic, available in several colors and sizes. This particular one (36 oz) is too big for a standard bicycle bottle rack but great for backpacking or camping. It also has volume markings up one side so you can see how much is in it or how much you've been drinking. The wide mouth top is NOT wide enough to fit a whole hand into, and the bottle is too deep to reach the bottom with your fingers, so cleaning may be an issue. Use a bottle brush!! Only use regular dish soap and warm water, any stronger chemicals will eat the plastic. Failure to use soap and a bottle brush will allow algae and bacteria to grow in the bottom corners of the bottle, which will make you sick if you keep drinking from the bottle. So keep it clean, wash it every few days at least!! Also try to avoid filling it with any sticky liquids that leave a hard to clean residue, like milk or cola. It might be fine to mix up a little bit of Koolaid or Propel Fitness Water or something similar though. Bottom line: durable plastic bottle with a plain screw-top cap, volume markings on one side, and a wide mouth to accommodate using a bottle brush to clean it. Good choice for backpacking but might require an extra wide bottle rack to put it on a bicycle. I like it. Read more

Awesome affordable water bottle. Great for camping and outdoor adventures. The size is perfect, and Nalgene still stands as the best unbreakable water bottle on the market. The plastic is sturdy and thick, and holds water all day without giving it that plasticky after taste. Fits well in backpack sleeves, but not so well in cup holders. The base is too wide. Overall their functionality is top notch, and if it breaks, Nalgene has a lifetime warranty on every bottle. Read more

Good water bottle and holds a lot but won’t fit in my car cup holder. Too wide. Opening at top also very wide and hard for me to drink from. Mostly don’t like having to put it in the seat beside me. Cap twists on and off and if you don’t get on tight it, of course, leaks when you lay it down. Read more

This is a great bottle when playing sports like tennis, where you don't need to lug the bottle around during the activity. Has plenty of space for water, an easy opening lid, doesn't leak, and looks great too. Comes in plenty of colors, etc. I think the weak point on the bottle is probably the strap that holds the lid on, I imagine that would break first after carrying it around by the strap. For the cheap price though, this is an excellent water bottle. Read more
