Perfect Everyday Water Bottle That Just Works The Nalgene 32 oz Tritan wide-mouth water bottle is one of those products that sets the standard and rarely disappoints. I’ve been using this daily for the past few weeks, and it’s as solid as people say. The wide mouth makes it very easy to fill with ice cubes or pour in powders without a mess, and cleaning is quick since I can get a brush right inside. The BPA-free Tritan material feels tough—this bottle can take being dropped, knocked around in the car, or tossed in a backpack without showing wear. The lid is secure, threads on smoothly, and hasn’t leaked once. I also like that the loop top keeps the cap attached, so there’s no chance of misplacing it. The gray body with blue lid looks sharp, and the transparency helps me track how much water I’ve had. At 32 oz, it’s a nice balance—large enough that I don’t need constant refills, but still not too bulky to carry. The only thing to keep in mind is the wide-mouth design: if you’re drinking while walking or in the car, it’s easier to spill compared to a narrow-mouth bottle. That said, it works perfectly with accessories like splash guards or straw lids if that’s a concern. Bottom line: A reliable, durable, and easy-to-use water bottle that should last for years. If you’re after a no-fuss, everyday hydration companion, this one is hard to beat. Read more

The Nalgene Trident wise mouth bottle is a staple in the outdoors. The bottle pretty much speaks for itself, so I’m using this review as a testimony for its quality after years of use. Here’s my story: After 20 years, my first Nalgene Trident bottle broke. It took a fall at 18mph onto pavement to cause a small crack to form a few years ago, and another accidental drop onto concrete to cause that crack become a fracture rendering the bottle useless. Being stored in a car, having hot liquids in it, and age may have caused the plastic to become brittle over time. No worries, I got plenty of use out of it! Over those TWO DECADES of heavy use, I’ve gone through a couple lids as they tend to break from my carabiner or just get nasty. Replacement lids and other accessories are readily available in outdoor/sporting goods stores and even some big box retailers, and of course here on amazon. If you need something to fit your bottle for your adventure, you’ll be able to find it not far away from your trail/camp/home etc. I love the quality of these products so much that every one of our five children took some of their first sips out of a nalgene trident style sippy bottle (yes, they make them, and they are of the highest quality). My son’s scout bottle is a glow in the dark nalgene trident that doubles as a lantern and helps him find it in the dark when camping with the troop. The basic minimalist design is perfect; no extras that are unnecessary for basic hydration and water carrying needs. I also have appreciated the range of accessories made to fit the Trident bottle. My minimalist carry setup is a molle pouch on a belt (also has a sling). The bottle fits inside a glacier cup with folding handles. While I have not personally used my bottle over a stove to heat water, I’ve been told that it is possible. I use my nested glacier cup for that. The markings wore off my bottle years ago, but when they were there I used the bottle for measuring ingredients for camp cooking. Hope this anecdote of two decades of use provides some insight into the long-term durability of these products. Read more

These have been our favorite water bottles to purchase and have lasted the longest. We did have the lid loop snap on one last year but we have had them for I think 2+ years. My child went as far as standing on one, once to prove their durability. They get dropped quite often. The size is good. Never had any leak issues as long as they are closed completely which is good cause them seem to get left on the floor and kicked sometimes. These are my go to and will buy more if anything happens to the 3 we currently have but so far all three are still working even though they are scratched from drops. Read more

Once upon a time, I was a young college student who loved to climb, so I had a blue Nalgene bottle that followed me up the rock, clipped to my harness. That thing was indestructible for many, many years. I think I finally dropped it off the rock and the lid shattered. I missed that bottle greatly and thought about it often. It helped me stay hydrated on the rock, in the forest, across snow fields and everywhere in between. Imagine my delight when I was this Nalgene bottle, an exact replica of my long lost bottle from years ago! I had to get it and I am very glad I did. 32 ounces is the perfect size bottle to take with you trekking. It fits in most back pack side pockets and it clips on to daisy chains with a simple caribiner. It's 1/2 of your daily water needs if you aren't doing anything, and the measurements on the side of the bottle are great for keeping track when you are running at top efficiency. Take this camping with you and you can use it to measure water for your cook pot. Fill it with ice for a cold drink any time! I am so glad I have my happy, blue nalgene bottle once again! I think I'm going to have to buy it a mate, though I haven't decided if I want to get another blue one or try another color out. I know this for sure, I WILL be buying another bottle soon, and I recommend everyone get a nalgene or three of their own. These bottles are well worth the money and will last through years of very tough use! Read more

I like the size. It is durable and easy to clean. My one issue is the mouth hole. I end up spilling water on myself multiple times a day. I also tip it over a lot and haven’t gotten into the habit of closing the lid. Due to its size (which I love) and insane amount of water then cascades onto whatever unsuspecting surface is nearby. I gave it four stars because I’m willing to chalk my issues up to user error. I will try to handle it less like I am a toddler. Also it does not fit in any cup holders. Read more
