I am nearly in tears writing this review, because I'm not going to have to put my precious Bella, a 25 lb dachshund-papillon mix, to sleep. One morning about 2 and 1/2 weeks ago she wasn't able to stand. She had been limping and I was giving her several different joint supplements which obviously stopped working. I borrowed the money and my daughter and I, in tears, took her to the vet. They were ready to put her down, and we both said no. My daughter used a beach towel, after carrying her outside, to help her stand up to go potty. I'm unable, because a year ago I broke my hip and 5% don't heal correctly and I'm one of those. My dogs are extremely picky, so to keep them on a consistent eating schedule we usually have to use either a dusting topper or mix wet food over their kibble. This product has been a great solution because they love the taste so much that it works as both a food topper and a joint supplement. It does have a smell, but nothing overwhelming, and my dogs go straight for their bowls as soon as I put the food down. I just put it over dry kibble and give it a little shake. Additionally, it also seems to be effectively and noticeably helping their joint comfort and mobility.
