Worked so well it scared me at first! I have a nine-year-old and a seven-year-old and the seven-year-old has been going through a sleep regression for the past month and will literally lay in bed tossing and turning for three hours before finally falling asleep around 10 o’clock or 11 o’clock. I have never tried anything like this and I gave it to both of them to try and get them to sleep on time before the first day of school. I gave it to them at 5 P.m. And then we ate dinner and they were both asleep by seven. They slept the entire night through and woke up in great moods and completely alert. I would never normally use anything on my kids, but I actually take the same brand melatonin adult dosage and it just helps me sleep through the night when I am restless. The dosage for adults is 10 mg and the one for children was only 1 mg each. It worked perfectly. As an adult or even as an adolescent, I've never taken melatonin before so I decided to try a lower dose, mainly because I read melatonin can aid with gut recovery during sleep. The label states to take one gummy 30 minutes prior to sleep, I have not noticed a sense of "drowsiness" or sensation of needing to sleep with these, as one would expect for their first time so I usually set up a timer so I know when to close my eyes. I was also unsure if I was going to wake up groggy or in an irritable mood and I have not, which I appreciate. I do like that I am able to sleep through the night with these and can rest peacefully. As far as the actual gummy itself, the taste is not bitter or too sweet. I believe the taste is manageable and kids, as this product was intended for, would enjoy it.
