I wanted a high black boot that would easily fit around my wide calf. I ordered a half size up and it worked. I am 5'6" and wear a size 16 dress size. These boots zipped over heavy socks and jeans. The leather has a pebble texture. The back has a 1.5 inch stretch gore horizontal strip that finishes the top of the boot with it thinly continuing on its outside. I like them. Read more
