Cloud Creek PRO Backpacking Tent This is a review for the Cloud Creek PRO Backpacking Tent by Naturehike. Purchased for some upcoming spring and summer backpacking trips. I wanted to get familiar with this tent so I set it up in our kitchen do to it out being 9 degrees out side with wind chills below zero. This tent was packaged and well built, which is what I have become to expect from Naturehike. Naturehike has always made good quality products, with good pricing and has never let me down. This tent was very easy to setup without the instructions (which are attached to inside of tent stuff bag) setup was quick and very straight forward. Everything you need comes packed in cloth bags. Tent comes with a ground cover, 12 aluminum stakes that have strings attached for easy removal, tie down cord and rain cover with vestibule for pack. After I set tent up all zippers were easy to use and smooth operation. I really like the buckles that attach rain cover quickly. Well thought out design from buckles for rain fly to holes for poles that attach poles securely. I do wish I would have been able to stake tent down and use guide cord to setup rain cover and see vestibule. Tent had enough room for my wife and I to lay and sit in. I feel this will be a great tent for our next outdoor adventures. My only con is tent is a little heavy but for price and great quality it will be a great tent for anyone and last for many years. I'm a very experienced tent camper/backpacker that's been on the lookout for a freestanding 2 person tent for car camping. This one checks all the marks. Good: Excellent materials, stitching, hardware. Big plus for adding in a groundsheet. Super simple to setup, and very sturdy even without the extra guylines. Four inside pockets are nice for phones and small stuff. Will fit 2 wide (25") pads no problem. I really like the simplicity of the windows/doors, which allow for fully closed, vented of fully open. Not as good: While the stakes are compact and lightweight, the are not the most durable, Bent one (see pic) in moderate soil with few if any rocks lightly hammering in with a small hammer. They missed a huge opportunity to add clips to the groundsheet, which would have enabled fly first pitch in inclement weather (like big agnes copper spur). Fly space is limited but adequate, but this is typical of these styles of tents. Weight is not ideal for backpacking (almost 5 pounds on my scale with everything), but split across two people is reasonable. Overall this is going to be my tent of choice for solo car camping when I want a bit more room to spread out gear. Read more

Wow! This tent is NICE! It's light weight and durable enough for those crazy storms we all seem to run into when thru hiking. It has 2 doors and 2 vestibules and is roomy enough for 2 or it can be used by 1 person who doesn't like to be crammed into a single person tent. And it has 4 gear pockets! FOUR! Pockets for glasses, chargers, phones - what have you. I love all the pockets. There is also a hook in the ceiling where you can hang a light is you need one. It works pretty well with most headlamps or the lanyard on a flashlight - so there is no need to bring anything else. And the doors are big and have zip off covers so you can open them up to let in a breeze during the warmer months. I think you'd be okay without the rain fly in a shower - but bring it along if you expect a full on storm. The tent also comes with the footprint - and if you want to go lighter weight you could use just the footprint and the rainfly. Or - just the tent with no rainfly. You have options with this one. I do like it all together, though. It is also dark inside the tent so you may not wake up with the sun if you're zipped in and would like to sleep late. However - if you want the sun - just leave a window open on one of the doors. Leave both windows open on warmer days and you'll get great ventilation. Oh, and if you want to close the vestibule it even has magnets to hold it closed so you don't have to zip it shut every time. The zippers are great and very high quality - but it's just easier to be able to pull apart the magnets. They are great if you're entering and exiting a lot or just need to leave the tent for a nature break in the middle of the night. I JUST REALLY LIKE THE MAGNETS! Naturehike thought of everything when they made this one. It's called Pro for a reason! It's also a great value.
