I picked up this light strip set wanting to add some mood lighting to a blank wall, and it’s done just that in the most awesome way! The build quality is good, the strip itself is flexible but sturdy, and the adhesive backing held well on painted drywall and I also used the mounting hardware to reinforce it. It wasn’t finicky to install, and I was able to get it positioned exactly where I wanted with minimal fuss. What I enjoy most about it are the customizable colors. There are enough options to match whatever vibe I’m going for, from soft warm hues to bold tones. The controls are intuitive, and switching between colors or lighting effects doesn’t require digging through confusing menus. I’ve left it on a warm glow for relaxed evenings and cranked up brighter colors when I’m in the mood for something more energetic. The strip is also a translucent white color, so the glow it gives off looks like neon. There are no harsh lights from individual exposed LEDS, like on other products. The accent lighting completely changed how that blank wall feels. Instead of just staring at an empty space, now it adds personality to the room, especially at night when the rest of the lights are dimmed. I was really impressed by this RGB Rope Light to add some cool ambience to my basement. You get almost 10 feet of lighting to work with, which is fine for a smaller space; But you may need multiple strips if you have a larger room like a basement. Either way the included length still gave me a lot of options to work with. Once out of the box it was very to setup the strips into a usable design on the wall. I downloaded the Neewer app and I got try out numerous light patterns and colors for the strip. It was fairly intuitive to customize the lights to my specific preferences. One note you must use the Neewer App as there is not a remote control. The lights are bright and really help set the proper ambience on my room.
