Hide and Seek

WASTE OF TIME. Bought it yesterday sent it back today. Thought it would help with my hand. What a joke. Had to play Hide and Seek trying to find where to plug in the power. GIVE you a clue, it's hidden in the zipper seam on the right side. Your next problem will be Moronic Instructions. I hope you're good at guessing and exploring. NEVER heated up. The direction icons on the top of the unit are "GUESS WORK. Read more

Very Close to Perfect

I have arthritis pain on the back of my hand. This item inflates and puts pressure on my fingers, palm, wrist... but not on the back of my hand. Perhaps its because I have small hands. However, if it can't help making my hand feel better its of no use to me. Returning it tomorrow. Subsequently, a month later, Nekteck asked if I would give their product another try. I have been using the hand massager for the past 3-4 days. I have been trying all the different variations for massage to see if it will help me. I will admit, the device is easy to use and the massages feel really good. That being said, depending on your particular size hand and where your discomfort may be, the Nektech Hand Massager excels. I am trying to pinpoint one or two knuckles for my condition, and the massager comes close, but no cigar. Other than my personal issue, the product is really nice and overall, feels great. Read more

Cordless, Hand Massager, Rechargeable

This is one of those devices I immediately suspected as being some kind of gimmick. It seems to be well made, offers multiple features to control its functions and has a lot of options. It is not a "gimmick" but how effective it is will depend on what ailment you're trying to address. The device does its job by inflating rubber pads under different parts of your hand, compressing your hand using inflatable pads in the top and bottom of the device. There are pads located underneath the fingers, the metacarpal bones, the palm and the wrist on the bottom and the wrist, palm and fingers on the top. It offers a variety of options to vary the pattern, time length and heat of the "massage". The mode button sets the "type of massage" using the names, "soothing", "alternating", "stretch", "segmented wave", "stage" and "total". I tried each mode multiple times and while I could discern a difference in the patterns it followed for each of the pad sections, I would give it a 20 to 30 percent difference between them. It's full range of motion is limited. Maybe it starts with the wrist and moves to the fingers, maybe it uses half its pressure, maybe it uses all it has. I couldn't tell a lot of difference between the modes. Sometimes it pushes up from the bottom, sometimes down from the top, sometimes both together. It has seven sections it can compress using variable pressure and multi-level heat. This is what it uses to create its modes. I can say that it is effective. It does stimulate and relax your hand and would be great for people whose hands get sore from repeated or stressful work. It does work, although for me I wouldn't describe it using words like amazing or fantastic, it does have a positive effect. The other controls are used to set the limits of its various features. Heat can be set to low or high. It does get warmer on high but not hot. The timer can be set from 15 to 20 minutes and the intensity (This is how much pressure it will create ranging from 1 to 6.) The ad copy says it does "rolling therapy". I have experienced "rolling therapy" in a massage chair that used actual rollers that moved back and forth. What this hand massager does is inflate and deflate the opposing sides of the "glove" in an offset manner. For example, raising the fingers from the bottom while pushing the metacarpal bones (knuckles) downward. Varying this does produce a "rolling" kind of effect although it's not very fluid. It does stretch and relieve tension though. The device is rechargeable and will operate for about a half hour on a charge. It will also operate plugged in with the exception of the heat feature. I assume the extra heat amperage is needed to charge the battery. It does come with a standard USB charging cord and a decent glossy printed manual. It's very easy to use. Just stick your hand in, press and hold the big button until it turns blue then wait until it starts. It'll take a little longer to figure out the options but getting started is easy. Initially, I will admit I was not too impressed, but after thoroughly examining and testing, I can say honestly this seems like a fairly well-made device that offers some real benefits for anyone who's activities overwork or stress out their hands. This product would make a great gift for anyone who is in this position. Read more

Great way to relax your hand.

This item is a hand and wrist massager with heat that uses air compression to sooth the the pressure points. It comes complete with everything you need to get started, which is basically a USB-C charging cable, an instruction manual and the device itself. It will take a few hours to fully charge initially, but once that is complete, I have noticed it run for over an hour (using multiple cycles). On the bottom side of the unit there are suction cups that makes securing this to a desk to table top very easy, although, I'm not certain exactly why you'd have a strong desire for that. The interface to operate the unit is rather intuitive once you understand the meaning of each setting. In short, on the unit there is a capacitive touch interface with a single point button. Once powered on, the other options are illuminated and you can adjust them by pressing on each of their respective icons independently. This unit supports 6 different modes and intensity levels, a few different heating levels and multiple timer settings. The timer settings are for the auto-shutoff feature. The heating levels are more of a low, medium, high type implementation, although in my testing, high is not equated to "hot". The modes are unique, but don't significantly different enough from one another in my opinion. The intensity levels are very much different and at the higher levels really sooth with pressure. There is also an battery level display that will give you an idea as to how much power remains within the unit. I have chosen to rate this product 5 stars. Overall, I have larger hands and they easily fit within this unit. The compression pressure is nice enough and provides plenty of comfort. I have found myself on more than one occasion falling asleep in my chair with this device on. It has helped with the main I've had in two of my fingers for the last week. I would therefore, definitely recommend. Criteria for Stars: 1 - Total rip off, doesn't perform basic advertised functions or not product advertised. I would likely RETURN and would NEVER recommend. 2 - Not worth the money. Performs some of the basic advertised functions, but likely not all, and ultimately was deemed as not providing enough value for the money spent. I would not buy again, and would likely not recommend unless the buyer had a very specific use case. 3 - It performs the basic functions as advertised, and has some usefulness at the price point, but doesn't work for all of the reasons I purchased. I would likely not buy again, and would only recommend if buyer understood usefulness limitations. 4 - It performs most all of the features I purchased it for, but has limitations. I would likely buy again and would recommend. 5 - Completely as advertised and likely exceeded expectations. Is of high quality and well shipped. I would totally buy again and recommend. Read more
