Neo-G Wrist and Thumb Support for Arthritis Joint Pain Tendonitis Sprain - Wrist Brace Wrist Compression Hand Support

I bought one for my sister & she has had a week to try it out. She does not have Carpal Tunnel but over a year ago she fractured her thumb joint right where it connects to her hand & has had excruciating, crying all night, white knuckled pain just moving her thumb...long past the point when the doctor says it is healed & she should be pain free aside from (minor arthritis). She was given a clumsy stiff metal filled brace that she has given herself facial bruises behind and is actually more painful to wear & causes it to swell even more. As an artist attempting to hold onto a paint brush, or coffee, gently squeezing the toothpaste, or any number of daily activities that involve gripping grabbing squeezing lifting... Being in the middle of a 2 year long, one room at a time, house repair with a hand that can't tolerate bumping & a joint that is still 3x the size of the others has been beyond challenging. I had spent several weeks online researching styles of compression sleeves & had almost given up finding one that had this style of thumb support without being an actual glove, 100's of images in google but non-functional links so I was delighted to find these on amazon although wary of what we might receive by way of quality. OMG the first night she actually slept the night through & the week of wearing it most of the time has given her 70 to 80% reduced pain. the compression is perfect, her swelling is way down & there is no bulk to get in the way, she says it keeps her joints warm enough without making her hand sweat. We are both so thrilled with the results I just ordered 3 more... my daughter, who has similar issues from an old hand to wrist injury & as a bookkeeper can't really wear a brace while typing, will get one of these to try. Edit 6/29/17: 3rd purchase- Ordered 3 more, gave 2 away as gifts & kept one for myself -Still impressed with the quality & I have referred several friends with similar hand, tendon, nerve & arthritis issues. My sister is elbow deep in dirt & gardening these days so she hand washes these & rotates them... Keeping one nice one in the box for dressier occasions & these are close fitting so she can still wear bracelets & not feel too conspicuous. I have a job that requires repetitive motion work for several hours every day. Needless to say after 25 years at it, I have begun to have pain in my joints, specifically, in my fingers and wrists. I have tried several different kinds of hand and wrist supports by Mueller, Futura, Ace, etc. I have tried hand supports with velcro wrist wraps, metal supports, spandex supports, half finger, full finger, glove, glove with wrist support, and every other combination of hand, finger, thumb and wrist support item available. This is far and away the best support "glove" I have ever used. It is snug but not too tight. It has firm support but lets you move easily. There is nothing quite as painful as a support that is inflexible.It ends up CAUSING more pain than RELIEVING it. This "glove" type support goes down past your wrist onto your forearm and has extra support right in the wrist area. The thumb part is comfy enough to allow for full movement but stil snug enough to give you support in that limb too. The top covers the finger knuckles ( at the bottom of the finger where the hand begins,) which allows you to move fingers freely but also gives a little shelf of support there too. I have found it to be invaluable when it comes to knocking and scraping knuckles!!! There is a nice thick area of fabric at the knuckle area and at the bottom of the wrist which keep the "glove" from curling up or riding up, and a special tighter weave of fabric right at the wrist. It is amazingly comfortable and does not get hot no matter how long you wear it. I like the black color because if I don't wear gloves and it gets dirty it is not as noticable as it is with the other brands which are white or beige and you can get away with using it a little longer between washes. It is strong but does not cramp your hand to put it on as some other support gloves do. It kills me to think of all the money I have spent, rather, WASTED over the years on products for my hands when this is what I wanted , needed, and should have gotten from the beginning.
