I like the idea of getting more collagen in my diet, and many of the ways to add it are not very palatable (literally). I'm not excited about adding it to my coffee or making weird drink potions to get it. These come in pill form, which makes it easy because I can just pop some with my morning vitamins. As with any supplements, it's hard to tell if there's any active ingredient or if it's just placebo. In this case, the pills do smell faintly of collagen, so I'm convinced it's really in there. Also, the brand appears to be reputable and not a fly-by-night company. You never really know with these supplements whether they're making a difference, so it's hard for me to say on that front, but I'm hoping this will help keep my hair, skin, and nails looking healthy. The instructions say to take 3 a day, which feels like a lot. I've been taking 2 a day. I'm sure that's a lot better than doing nothing, and it'll make the bottle last for a month instead of a meager 20 days. At $13 for the bottle, I don't know that this is something I'll make part of my regular routine. It is nice to get the extra collagen, but it seems a little steep to be paying that much for just one supplement on a monthly basis. If I end up noticing a difference in my body, then the money will be worth it, but otherwise I'm not sure. I'm glad I got the opportunity to try it out, at the very least. Like others have noted, the bottle is mostly empty (see pic). I wish they would have added more product or downsized the bottle for environmental and efficiency purposes. I've been taking collagen for years in powder form but it only contained three types of collagen. I came across this collagen in pill form that had TEN different types of collagen so I was all in. First off, the dose is (3) coated tabs which is a lot of pills and they are on the bigger side like calcium tabs. I don't usually have an issue taking pills and didn't have one with these. I will say I was a bit disappointed that taking (3) tabs only results in (2) grams of protein and even more disheartened to discover it also includes (15) grams of sodium. For me personally, there are too many negatives with this particular collagen that outweigh any benefit I may get from them. Read more
