My husband was in severe pain with his right shoulder. He was diagnosed with a torn rotator cup. The doctor recommended surgery that costs thousands of dollars and six weeks recovery. We don't have insurance to cover that. It hurt me to see my husband in so much pain. I noticed when he laid down to watch tv he put one of the couch pillows in between his arm and his body for some relief. I looked on Amazon at shoulder braces until I came across this one and ordered it. . After about two days of my husband wearing it under his shirt, he said he was pain free! I'm sure this is a good product. This just didn't work for me. I needed a Right, got a Left for the 2nd time after I clearly stated in the return process that I need the R side. Still a hurting unit. Amazing! Life changing! I have had two surgeries for labral tears. My right shoulder sits a little bit lower then my left and is rotated medially. I have had shoulder pain for the last 18 years. I have bought so many different braces. Tens unit, ice, icy hot, medications. I have had constant neck, scapular back pain and shoulder pain that gets worse throughout the day. I have seen shoulder specialists, mri, X-rays, physical therapy. I bought this brace and it has been life changing. This brace is definitely made for a larger framed person. As i am a reasonably petite female, it has to be worn with the straps as tight as they go, in order to make it fit. The concept is great and i need something with a pad under my arm, that will keep it secure, while not pulling my shoulder down, causing it to sublux further. The media could not be loaded. I do not have a dislocated shoulder and so cannot attest to the efficacy of this item for that condition or others like it. I do have pain though in the upper arm/shoulder area and thought this would relieve some of it based on other reviews. It didn’t. The pillow is not made of memory foam. Just regular bouncy foam. It’s very thick and pushes my shoulder up in an uncomfortable manner. You could in theory remove the foam block and add your own filler such as poly fill. But $50 is a lot for cheap foam. Full size memory pillows cost less. Will say the straps were not so bad comfort wise. Better than others. Read more
This adjusts to fit and eliminates my shoulder pain. My shoulder tends to pop out and this keeps it propped up and eliminates the pain I get from trying to hold it up myself. Read more
i ordered this for my mother who suffered a stroke and is now struggling to adapt to her disabilities (mainly her shoulder subluxation and hemiplegia). based on the product description and above average reviews we were hoping this might be a good option to fulfill my mom’s needs (something that would be able to provide strong support for her shoulder and to a lesser extent her arm while still being reasonably comfortable and not being too bulky/obstructive). she has been using it these last few weeks but unfortunately the product has been very ineffective and does not provide enough support for it to make a real difference for her condition. also, while i’ll give neofect some credit for the fact that she is able to put it on with one arm without too much difficulty, it’s not necessarily very comfortable for her to wear. and now it’s gone past the 30 days so amazon won’t even let me return it either. (unfortunately rather than return it immediately, my mom decided to give the brace a chance and see if once she got the hang of it maybe it started benefitting her more, obviously that backfired on us though) so now we’re stuck with it and lost our money too overall, we felt very let down by neofect. and considering the fact that it’s pretty expensive (worth noting that it’s price is quite above the average compared to similar products on the market), i would not recommend this for anyone looking for something that will provide strong support. (i can see this potentially being a decent product for someone requiring only mild support though there are probably cheaper and more effective alternatives out there as well). hopefully we’ll have better luck with the next brace we try Read more
This was given to my son in law. his shoulder would dislocate 3 times a month. this has held him over until surgery can fix the issue for good. but WOW!!! its so well designed, he flings car parts for a living. off the truck, off the pallet, onto the warehouse shelves. but no issues so far with his shoulder. the way this thing is designed, it captures the joint perfectly. he loves the way it feels, and it gives him confidence to work hard again.
