They are exactly as they should be. They provide comfort and support in all the right areas. I would say the sizing is normal unlike how Gilbert runs a little small. I had ordered a 3xl in the new balance shorts and they were a little big, whereas the Gilberts fit just right at a 3xl. Over all they are breathable and comfy. I would order them again. Read more

These New Balance gym shorts are perfect for running, rowing and weight lifting. They have a comfortable fabric liner built in so you don't have to wear these with underwear. They are very lightweight and moisture wicking. The rise is low so when lifting overhead a little more of my abdominal skin shows. They look and feel great, with enough extra room for movement and maintain form and color with repeated washings. I am a 205lb 5'11" male and the large fits as expected. Why did you pick this product vs others?: Awesome shorts, especially for the price. They clearly do tell you that they have the mesh brief as most (and IMO ALL) short shorts should have. It is up to you if you use it or want to wear regular under clothing. Very comfortable and fit well- maybe a little larger than what you need so order a size smaller (some say larger, but I do not). Pockets are very nice to have as well. Wash well, repel moisture and are much cooler than most shorts. Read more
