Probably shorter than I expected, but that's my fault- it states the inseam length very visibly here. Overall, it's a great quality New Balance product. If anything- the purple is definitely more bright purple than it appears here- but that only tests my manliness as I wear it to the gym! Otherwise, material is high quality, and the fit is perfect, just not used to showing off as much leg as this one allows. Probably more for running (as it states) than gym use for me. Read more

These are super comfy. Unfortunately these were one size too large, so I can't really run in them, but this is an Amazon ordering issue (Amazon needs to fix the fact that changing color can change size!) and not a problem with the product itself. These would be awesome running shorts, but they seem to work just as well as lounging/yard-work shorts. Read more

I really, really, really like these running shorts. As is typical with New Balance quality, they are incredibly well made, fit great, are comfortable to wear, priced reasonably for what they are, and will surely hold up long term. The fit is perfect for running and they feel so lightweight it’s actually impressive. I tend to wear typical sports shorts while running so these purpose-made running shorts are a night and day difference. No, it didn't make me faster, but they feel faster at least. The fit matches the other pair of 5" running shorts I have and the sizing was also similar in that I bought the same size in these and they fit almost identically. Overall I think these are excellent. You get a quality short for the price, with nice craftsmanship and a comfortable material as well as brand recognition so you have confidence they'll last. So let me start by saying I really like how comfortable short shorts feel. So when I saw these had an inner lining I was a little precocious So what I did was I bought a size up from large to extra large. . And I am so happy that I did. Now these are new balance so of course the quality is amazing, but the comfortability even with the inner mesh lining is top tier. I took these candied violet New Balance shorts out for a spin and man that color is way brighter than the pictures let on. The great craftsmanship in the soft knit fabric is clear and it feels like a high quality material that really breathes well while I am moving. For the price the value for money is solid since the moisture wicking functionality is perfect for a heavy workout. I got the size large and the fit is fine but the major negative is that mesh swim trunk style liner inside. It constantly rides up while I am running and it is honestly so annoying that I am debating on just cutting it out. If it were not for those liners these would be my absolute favorite pair.
