Good lightweight sleeping bag for nighttime boat rides.

We bought this for use on the boat when we are out at night, when the breezes get cooler and the night air is filled with dew. Crawling into this ultra-lightweight sleeping bag is way better than tossing a damp towel over you! The cotton interior is comfortable, the exterior nylon cover sheds moisture well, the zippers are easy to use, and it washes/dries very well. My primary complaint is the fact I expected something even MORE lightweight! This packs down to something about the size of a 2L pop bottle... bigger than a standard water bottle as the description proclaims. Space on the boat is at a premium, so I was attracted to the advertised size. While I am disappointed it does not compress more, the bag it comes with has compression straps so we can make it as small as possible. If you are buying this for late Spring or early Fall camping, it is good to know the zippers combine in case you want to make a double bag. It is squared off, not mummy style, so it zips to another bag well. It would also make a good under-quilt for a hammock or an inner bag for more insulation in a dual-bag set-up. Read more
