I bought this to replace an old mechanical one. Because with my new bifocals I could not see it. I was pleasantly surprised, the voice on it was nice, although I turned it off because I need to weigh my self all hours and I have a roommate. Unlike some other digital scales it seems to be quite accurate. I tried it three times in a row and got exactly the same. the large red display is readable even without my glasses. And finally it does not use any specialty batteries, either AAs or AAAs I don't remember. Might even be able to use rechargeable batteries? Read more
Good for visually impaired.
I got this for mom who has issues seeing. She really likes it but says it is about 3 lbs off. I told her to just add 3 lbs on to what it says. Hopefully it last, she likes to weigh herself. I also bought it because it is white and she can see where it is better on her floors. Read more

This scale is perfect for those that have severe eye issues or blindness
I purchased this scale for my brother who is legally blind. He needed a scale that would tell him his weight because there is no way that he would be able to see any size of numbers displayed. This was perfect! You just step on the scale and it tells you your weight. You don't have to turn it on by finding a button with your hands or feet. He goes to dialysis as well and the scale was on point with what he was weighing at the center. The color was also perfect for him since he has dark laminate flooring and this scale is easy for him to find. Read more
