Well designed, extremely solid.

Well designed, extremely solid. When paired with the matching stand it makes for a very durable and customizable home cockpit. Suggestion - It would be nice to have more options for side-stick mounting to allow for forward-back adjustment. Read more

Amazing!

Big price tag, but cannot believe the quality. Took my husband a bit to put together but everything was included and the directions were great. Amazing gift for an aspiring pilot with option for add one. Wheels around easily enough and will last a lifetime. Read more

HEAVY, Sharp parts, Hard Seat, wheels break off from rivnuts.

Pros: VERY Solid metal construction Mounts for controls infinite positions So many extra parts you'll need a storage bin for them. Seatbelts for flying in VR when you over-react and try to dodge in your seat. Cons: Wheels mounted through tube frame with riv-nuts that will flex and strip. Wheels lock themselves (no clearance for the lock lever under frame) Missing parts / wrong parts (got 2 right caps, so my left leg gets "bit" by the metal constantly. Missing a rivnuts where the wheels attach) Very solid seat - Like sitting on a rock - Order a cushion we don't have ejection worries Back angle adjustment is ratcheted not infinite adjustment like a car seat (or my aircraft seat) Readjusting anything requires using wrenches. Weighs in at just over 100 pounds - have to remove control mounts to fit through standard doors. Should come with a first aid kit mounted to the seat (again like my aircraft) because you will need it for all the times you cut yourself on the front extensions (might cut those off) Personally I don't think it is worth the price as the control mounts are the best part. If you are doing a full cockpit with the other half it is likely okay, but just the seat is meh. I really wanted to like this, and I'm going to have to use it after spending so much on it for a long time. If you have the skills it might be better to buy a car seat and build a base for it and the controls that you are using - because how often do you really change the controls out. Update: On 3rd set of wheels, rear riv-nut gave out entirely and is stripped. Wheel fell out of rivnut while I was using the seat which cause it to: 1) pitch back and the nice sharp metal gashing my foot and leg, 2) place a nice gash into my floor. Need to say this is one of the worst purchases that I have made, I'll never financially recover from this, should have built another cockpit out of wood. The metal torture device is now sitting on 3 small furniture dollies for wheels (I need to be able to move it and this was one of the purchase decision points). It is actually better on the dollies as it is about 1.5 inches higher and much more stable now (no more flex in the rivnuts). If I was within a return window it would go back, but I'm stuck with it. Looking at some better options for the wheels, maybe some L bracket mounted ones would hold up because they aren't relying on contact tiny contact areas for the wheels to mount too. Would not recommend. Would recommend a first aid kit be included. Read more
