At first glance, I was very excited about these shorts. I'm at an age that I have to work hard to be able to wear shorts this length, and I haven't exactly met that criteria. Nevertheless, I wanted a short that I can be active in, at least around the house. I pulled them on and the first thing I noticed was how they are super comfortable. They fit perfectly and felt awesome. I looked in the mirror and was hit with the realization that either my shape is really different than most people, or these shorts are cut so that the back end is much shorter than the front. The back went higher than I expected it to look, and I'd be embarrassed to post a photo, as I'm 53, and am not out of shape, but not an athlete by any means. I have an ample and somewhat normal sized back end, so I'm not sure how this fits others, but I wouldn't wear these out of the house. If you're thin and have a small rear, I'm guessing that these would work fine. I took them off and they seem to be designed the same on both sides. The material is good, and they have a layer of short underneath the short for coverage. They're really an awesome deal for such comfortable shorts. I just wish they were slightly longer in the back. Soft stretchy inner liner adds an element of added coverage. Substantial elastic at the waistline but not overly tight. Breathable fabric of polyester and spandex. we got these for our little star athlete of a granddaughter that we have. She plays everything and is always either playing or training one sport or another.
