I does a good job of keeping water off my hair and is comfortable to wear. It is a fine cap for lap swimming. Note that the chlorine in most pools eventually destroys the latex and the cap rips apart after about 6 months or less of use. At this low price, stock up and have spares on hand. Read more

Common misconceptions about swim caps are that they'll stay on perfectly, last a long time, and keep hair dry. No brand does that. In my experience, the Speedo composite swim cap for longer hair comes closest to those expectations. It's made from silicone and is thick and stretchy. If you have a wide head that might work better for you. I normally don't wear a cap for swimming. It just became a chore struggling to put one on. Washing hair after a swim with just Pantene conditioner prevents damage. I began dying my hair again recently with a brand that bleeds/runs a lot in water, so it's back to swim caps. I purchased this one and a TYR. This cap is slightly less thick than the TYR and unlike that one, this rolls up on the sides. The Nike logo is very dark. I'll be returning to the Speedo silicone composite cap. Unlike latex, the silicone doesn't pull on or damage hair. The edges don't roll up either. Read more
