They're shorts. They're comfy and snug, and they run fairly long, I really like the fit. But they have pockets! Pockets that are deeper than the ones you'll find on women's jeans. You can easily fit a wallet or smaller phone entirely into one pocket. If they made a women's version in pastel colors with slightly different sizing and some strategically placed padding, it would be a bigger win for equality than the last decade of new wave feminism. 9.5/10, I'll update my review if they do well in the wash. Phone pocket is not a tight fit. If you are doing intense running, or a workout where you invert your legs, be cautious of your phone falling out. For light or distance jogging, it worked decently, but is distracting. Gets the job done, and good value. Also comfortable. Read more

I've been trying to figure out my running kit and I've struggled a bit managing the cell phone and keys. These have worked well to hold the cell phone stable without bothering me. I can still hit the volume button to adjust volume without a hassle. Now keys go in one side pocket, the cell phone goes in the other, and I'm good to go. Note that getting the cell phone out is a bit of an effort if you have shorts over these, so I wouldn't use them if you pull your phone out a lot. Read more
