The first tap I used had the end on the lead wire crushed so I couldn't insert anything into it. I ended up cutting the end off and splicing it. This is a recurring problem with generic parts like this, the quality varies wildly inside the package. In the end, I was able to use it and it saved me time since I did not have to splice the car's wires. Read more
