Cut one star due to build quality. You have to assemble two arms into each downrod and the the downrods onto the base. The are already wired thru the arms and base. However the threading of the arms to the downrods was shoddy. Out of eight arm to downrod connections only two went all the way together. As all the threads were painted, that may have been part of the issue. But the shllow threading in the downrods is the rest of it. Whatever you do, you must keep the arms straight out side-to-side and vertically and avoid cross-threading to even have a shot of getting these together. The gaps I was left with aren't noticeable if you don't look too closely. Then, of course, your have to attach all four same colored light wires plus the provided pigtail together with a provided wire nut. The pigtail then attaches to the power wires in the ceiling. Hopefully you have the appropriate breaker off. The end result is handsome and the pair light up our kitchen well. My wife likes them. Read more
