The clamps came completely covered in rust, and the bag was full of rust dust. They aren't worth scrubbing up with stainless steel to try to remove it all, and I don't want it contaminating anything else I own, so these are destined for the trash. It didn't affect the chains at all. Read more
Moisture got into the packaging somewhere along the way, causing the gold finish to rub off and leaving a foul smell throughout the package. One of the clamps had visible rust on it — an absolute dealbreaker for an intimate product. The chain is also very cheap and flimsy feeling. The saving grace is that the other clamp appeared to be genuinely well-made and solid, so the quality potential is there. If the one clamp hadn't been rusted, I would have just removed the cheap chain and used the clamps on their own. At this price point, it would definitely be a good value for the money if it hadn't arrived in this condition. Unfortunately, I couldn't use the product at all given the state it showed up in.
