While the product refers to the instruction guide for detailed care, here are general maintenance tips for RC trucks like this: Battery Care: ● Charge via USB after each use (takes about 2 hours) ● Store with a full charge if not using for extended periods ● Keep batteries away from extreme heat or cold Cleaning & Inspection: ● Wipe down the body and wheels after muddy or dusty play ● Check wheels for debris wrapped around the axles ● Inspect the suspension for any loose or damaged parts Storage: ● Keep in a dry, cool place when not in use ● Store indoors to protect from weather and UV damage General Care: ● Avoid water immersion (splash-proof is different from waterproof) ● Check the 2.4GHz transmitter battery (AA batteries) and replace as needed ● Inspect the chassis occasionally for cracks or loose components The Motor Dayz Nissan Frontier 4x4 RC Truck performs well on a variety of surfaces thanks to its 4x4 all-wheel drive and spring suspension: Best Surfaces: ● Smooth pavement (driveways, sidewalks, indoor floors) - excellent speed and control ● Short grass and packed dirt - handles well with good traction ● Light gravel or pebbles - manageable but may slow down slightly Moderate Surfaces ● Uneven terrain - suspension helps smooth out bumps ● Shallow carpet indoors - works fine on low-pile rugs Challenging Surfaces: ● Tall or thick grass - may struggle with the smaller 1:16 scale ● Deep sand or loose dirt - can get bogged down ● Water or wet surfaces - not waterproof, so avoid puddles The truck is versatile enough for both indoor and outdoor use, making it perfect for running around the block or in your home. Just avoid extreme terrain and wet conditions for best performance. The Motor Dayz Nissan Frontier 4x4 RC Truck has two types of batteries with different specifications: Truck Battery (Rechargeable): ● 3.7V 380mAh lithium-ion battery ● USB charging takes approximately 2 hours ● Runtime per charge: The product doesn't specify exact minutes, but at this capacity, you can typically expect 15-30 minutes of continuous play depending on terrain and driving intensity ● Can be recharged multiple times Remote Control Battery (AA): ● Requires 2 AA batteries (included) ● AA batteries last much longer than the truck battery and only need replacing when they run low ● Not rechargeable The Motor Dayz Nissan Frontier 4x4 RC Truck is a fun, versatile RC toy suitable for kids ages 6-10 and hobbyists young at heart. Here's what you need to know: Strengths: ● Officially licensed Nissan Frontier with authentic styling ● 4x4 all-wheel drive with spring suspension handles various terrains ● 2.4GHz radio allows interference-free operation with multiple trucks ● Ready to run with all batteries included ● USB rechargeable for convenience ● Works both indoors and outdoors Limitations: ● Short playtime (15-30 minutes) vs. long charge time (2 hours) ● Moderate durability—good for regular play but not extreme rough use ● 1:16 scale may struggle with tall grass or deep sand Best For: Kids who enjoy RC vehicles for neighborhood adventures, driveway racing, or indoor play. Ideal for those just getting into the hobby with an intuitive, beginner-friendly remote. Bottom Line: A solid entry-level RC truck with good features at an affordable price. Just manage expectations around battery life and durability for heavy impacts. Read more

Great for the price, just keep it on the pavement

I picked this up for the kids and they’ve been having a blast with it. For what it costs, it’s a pretty fun little toy that doesn’t break the bank. It definitely looks the part too. It has a really cool, aggressive style that my little ones were obsessed with as soon as they saw it come out of the box. The wheels are surprisingly big, which is nice because it can roll right over small obstacles like rugs or sticks without getting stuck immediately. That said, you definitely get what you pay for when it comes to the controls. It basically has one speed: full blast. There’s no way to just cruise slowly because the motor is either all the way on or all the way off. That makes it a little bit of a challenge to steer accurately, especially in tight spots. The remote feels a bit cheap since the buttons and the joystick just make a "click" sound instead of moving smoothly, so it feels more like a basic controller than a real hobby grade setup. Also, don't let the big tires fool you into thinking this is a mud bogger. Since it’s only front-wheel drive, it struggles if you take it into tall grass or actual dirt. It really belongs on the driveway or the sidewalk. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly gift that looks awesome and keeps a kid busy for an afternoon, this is a solid choice, just don't expect it to win any off-road races. Read more

Frontier lovers dream

If you have someone who loves Nissan Frontiers or just RC cars in general, this is a really cool toy to get! It has 4WD and it's licensed by Nissan. It's easy to throw in rechargeable batteries (get some) and then start right away on the fun with this! It goes pretty fast for a little toy, and it's fun to try and do little tricks with it. The dogs even like to chase it! It's a versatile toy, shelf piece, or entertainment. Cool little-sized truck! Read more

Fun little RC truck with a few quirks

The media could not be loaded. This little Nissan RC truck ended up being a fun, better-than-expected toy for the driveway. I picked it up as a casual RC toy for a kid who’s into trucks, and not for serious hobby use. So far, it’s spent most of its time on the driveway, sidewalks, short runs in the cul-de-sac, on hardwood floors inside, and some light play in the yard (mostly dry grass right now). It’s got a couple of quirks, but for simple, everyday fun, it’s been great. The truck actually looks really nice in person - the paint and details make it instantly recognizable as a Frontier, which is half the fun if you’re into trucks. Everything was ready to go out of the box - truck, controller, battery, and the little non-removable USB charging cable - so setup was basically just charge it and drive. The “all-terrain” part is... well, kind of true. It does better than the cheap front-wheel-drive ones on rough surfaces, but it’s happiest on concrete, asphalt, hardwood floors, or packed dirt. On smooth ground it drives great, and the 4WD helps it roll over cracks, curbs, and bumps without getting stuck too easily. But in grass or loose dirt, it struggles. It’s a small, light truck after all, so it’ll bog down or spin its wheels if the surface isn’t firm. The controller is super simple with just forward/backward and left/right. Steering works fine, but it’s not super precise, and it doesn’t do any fancy spins or tricks. Definitely toy-grade, but totally fine for casual play. The controller takes two AA batteries, and the truck has a built-in rechargeable one. The USB cable is tucked underneath in a little compartment, which is neat for storage, but kind of annoying when you have to charge it. The battery doesn’t last very long, and since the cable isn’t removable, you have to keep the truck next to a power source every time. I really wish it had a removable battery instead - that would’ve made it much easier to charge or swap out. For the price, it feels sturdier than a lot of toy RCs out there. Nothing’s rattling or falling off, and it’s survived a few curb hits and tumbles just fine. If you peek underneath, the glue work isn’t the cleanest, but for a toy in this range, I’ll take it. All in all, it’s a cool little truck for driveway or neighborhood fun. If you’re expecting crazy speed or hobby-grade performance, this won’t scratch that itch. But if you just want a good-looking, easy RC truck that’s fun to drive, it’s a solid pick. Read more
