NKZ King Size Bed Frame 12 Inch Heavy Duty Metal Platform with Mattress Slide Stopper Steel Slat Support

This is the third platform-style bed I have purchased in the past 10 years, and frankly I am blown away! My previous bed had some thin wire-like supports that had broken and was wobbly. I also needed a shorter frame for my poor dog who now has 3 legs :( PROS: - FAIR PRICE I paid around $80, which I am happy with. - FIT AND FINISH- You can't see much once the mattress is in place, but their is an even matte finish, and the paint and soldering points are neat and even. - STURDY- most important. The frame is very well designed. There is ZERO wobble and ZERO movement. I pushed the frame hard and it does not move. The slats are evenly spaced and strong. The slats are placed on anchors which are soldered to the frame- SEE PHOTO. There are no areas that I am worried about breaking. - EASE OF ASSEMBLY- There are not a lot of parts. It was easy to figure out what goes where. A second person would be helpful, but I was able to assemble by myself. Took me around 25- 30 minutes. - NO CREAKING. There is ZERO noise as you move and adjust or sit down, stand up, etc. - NO MATTRESS MOVEMENT- There are keepers which attach to the frame, so there is ZERO movement of the mattress. There are 4 of them- one for each side. STORATE SPACE- I purchased a shorter height this time- 14 in, but there is still ample storage. It comes in 16" and 18" also. CONS: - THE INSTRUCTIONS were a little lacking, but it was still easy to figure out. - POOR QUALITY OF INCLUDED WRENCH- It is just stamped out of a thin sheet of steel. You cannot grip it well enough to tighten the bolts. I had to use my own wrench to tighten the bolts properly. - KEEPERS IN THE WAY. The keepers work well, but they get in the way as you are trying to make the bed and attach the fitted sheet. I ended up using just 2 keepers- one at the head and one at the foot. - PROMINENT FEET TO BED- and they are not rounded. For whatever reason, they stick out about 3 inches more than my other bed. I have stubbed my toes badly 2 or 3 times where I nearly fractured my toe. I may move the bed to a different area in the room I took some time to write this because I wanted others to find a quality bed, as there are many junky ones out there. Easy to put together, very sturdy metal frame, my son jumps on the bed and it holds sturdy. No squeaking sounds, as long as you put it together the right way. There is some sort of foam grip on the bottom of the legs of the bed to keep it from sliding around but doesn't make it too hard to move around as needed. You will want to build this bed wherever you plan on having it as it makes it easier to place. Read more

We are both large people and it's holding up well. It does creak now. It is on floor protectors so it slides but otherwise the legs would rip up our floors. Putting it together took two people and it was okay, but it almost didn't line up in a couple spots so it was problematic. I waited to review until we've had it for months. Size wise, it's perfect for the bed we got and the mattress is not overhanging and there is not excess frame so we are good there. There's good storage space underneath from the height so I fully appreciate this. Read more

Nothing fancy or complicated out this platform frame. Sturdy, strong, and easy enough. Need something fancy - this is no frills....functional. Design Tip: Get a bed skirt put on the frame top it with the mattress....and the black metal frame disappears! Works well and solidl. Read more

Great quality frame. It had felt pads on the main bars to prevent squeaking. Once assembled, it was very sturdy and did not squeak. I would buy again, and have recommended to a friend looking for a new bed frame. Read more
