I’ve used this on a couple of pet accidents—one on a rug and one on a couch cushion—and it did a respectable job, especially on odor. The spray nozzle gives a fairly even mist, and the liquid soaks into fabric without feeling overly soapy. I followed the directions and let it sit before blotting, and the lingering smell that usually returns a day later didn’t come back, which is the main reason I keep enzyme cleaners around. It’s not instant, though; on an older spot I had to treat twice, and it works best when you catch the mess early and can fully saturate the area. The scent of the product itself is noticeable at first but fades as it dries, and it didn’t discolor my light upholstery in a small test patch. Best for routine pet mishaps and ongoing odor control rather than miracle fixes for stains that have set for months. This item is a good value for the money. No stickiness. Read more
Well, we have pets, and as life would have it, they gave us the opportunity to test this product multiple times right after I received it. First, our cat, who took to her cat box from the very first day as a kitten, and loves it so much that she will come in from outside just to use her box, had some kind of running fit case of diarrhea, in the middle of the night, where she apparently ran all around the living room and family room, and thought of every place she could possibly poop, except her cat box. Really not sure what that’s all about. I did cut some paper plates in half, using those to scoop up the offending matter, then wiped up the residue with some white towels that I could later bleach, then soaked those spots with Nonaste spray. I let it soak for several hours, and then came back with our carpet cleaning machine. I then misted it more of the Nonaste spray onto the spots. Although it may be impossible to tell if the stain was removed completely, as our carpet is a strategically chosen, medium brown color, the stains do appear to be gone, and the odor was eliminated right away. A week, or so, after the previous apocalyptic event, our small dog was sleeping on the bed with us (don’t judge, she’s half Shih Tzu, who are bred to be palace dogs… In other words, a princess,) decided she suddenly needed to get out of bed in a very atypical (for her) hurry! Apparently, she must’ve gotten the same stomach bug as our cat, needed to poop bad, and didn’t make it. She did manage to get to the folded quilt at the foot of the bed, thereby concentrating the disaster in a smaller, more easily mitigated location. I was able to clean up the majority of it with toilet paper, and get it flushed down the toilet. I immediately soaked the quilt with Nonaste spray, let it sit for a few hours, and then washed it thoroughly, twice. Once out of the dryer, the quilt smelled fine. However, there is the ever so slightest remnant of a stain. It looks more like a shadow, and is not noticeable to casual observation, however, I know it’s there, so I’m looking for it. You can see in the photo where I circled the offending visual signs. Overall, this seems to be a great product. It comes in a nice, thick bottle, that feels like you could easily drop it on a tile floor and it wouldn’t break or crack. The spray nozzle has two off positions, one spray pattern position, and one stream position. In the off position, I had no problem with the nozzle or bottle leaking. Product application is easy to control with both a decent quality trigger on the sprayer head, and the choice of two spray patterns from the nozzle. The product itself seems to be very effective for the most part, and definitely works good for odors. The only place that falls a bit short would be the price. It’s somewhat expensive when compared to the national brands you would find in your local store, but it does work very well. I generally use an industrial packaged enzyme cleaner that I get from a janitor supply company. I get a much larger amount, at an overall considerably lower cost. However, this is unlikely available to a lot of people. So, that’s where Nonaste comes in. It’s a high-quality product that’s readily available to any consumer. Read more
I received this Nonaste Pet Stain & Odor Eliminator Spray, and I love it! My dog makes messes every now and then, and it’s hard to find a product that actually works, but I think I’ve found a winner! This spray has great quality, and smells so fresh. I’ve used it on new, and old stains, and it has actually worked on both. The smell of the spray is strong enough to remove the odor, but not too strong it gives you a headache. For the price, the quality, and the amount you get, this is a great choice. I bought this pet stain and odor eliminator to deal with occasional dog messes at home, and I’ve also used it in other areas with organic odors. What I like It works well on fresh urine smells and reduces odor instead of just masking it. The enzyme formula seems effective at breaking down organic smells. I also used it in my bathroom to remove an unpleasant organic odor, and it helped there as well. It works on multiple surfaces, including carpets, hard floors, upholstery, and bathroom areas. The spray bottle is easy to use and distributes product evenly. It doesn’t leave a sticky residue once dry. What I like less The after-smell lingers longer than I would like. I’m sensitive to chemical scents, and even though this is relatively mild, it still bothers me. Older or heavily set-in odors may require multiple applications. Overall This is an effective enzyme cleaner for fresh pet accidents and other organic smells, but the lingering scent limits how much I enjoy using it. If you’re sensitive to fragrances or prefer unscented cleaners, this may not be the best fit. Read more
