It takes the swelling down immediately and the tightness. He is still going to PT and now he can use this frequently on his own. Highly recommend. I had surgery for a trigger finger this past year. Little did I know, I have the habit of forming dense scar tissue when I have any kind of hand surgery. (My father has Dupuytren's contracture, and we are of northern European descent.) This little massager has helped to soften the scar tissue in my palm. The scar tissue is not gone, but it has been reduced significantly, and I am a lot more comfortable. While this massager may not work for everyone, for the price, it's worth a try.
