I bought this item to replace my Pampered Chef version. I primarily use it for scraping out the guts from Roma tomatoes, for easier dicing. It also works great hulling strawberries. it is just a simple tool, you don't need to spend lots of money for a product to hull strawberries & Roma tomatoes. Arrived and it was exactly what I was expecting. It had a big old adhesive sticker on it so I peeled that off as best I could then let it soak in oil a bit until I get it all off. Will update if it bends as some reviewers have mentioned, but I was pushing the metal part to test and it felt pretty sturdy. Read more

This little gadget might look a little silly and you might want to pass on it as a single-use item. However, it’s an AMAZING little gadget! It works beautifully on strawberries, removing the stem without taking too much of the berry, itself. However, it also easily cores out the stem end of tomatoes, as well. I’m not one for adding something to the kitchen drawer, but this little sucker is inexpensive and is pretty handy. Does the strawberry hulling as advertised, but I also keep finding other things it does well, like scraping out the veins in peppers. Getting seeds out of sour sop.
