This trimmer checks a lot of boxes. The LED display is a nice touch — I love being able to see the exact battery level instead of guessing. The USB-C charging is convenient, and the battery life seems solid so far. It’s also fairly quiet, which is great if you’re trimming early in the morning. That said, the biggest issue for me is the grooming head. It doesn’t snap on securely and feels loose. During use, it’s prone to shifting or even falling off, which makes the whole experience frustrating and less precise. For something that’s meant to be used around sensitive areas like the nose and ears, a secure attachment is really important. The motor is reasonably strong and it trims decently when the head stays in place, but the instability really affects overall performance and confidence while using it. The waterproof feature and easy rinsing are definite positives, and the build quality is decent for the price. However, because of the loose, unreliable attachment, I’m rating this lower than I hoped. If the heads locked in more securely, this would be a much better product. Read more

This powerful rechargeable clipper lists it as suitable for a trimming hair in ten different body locations, as shown in a photo. I think it’s completely unsuitable for most of these, but it is very suitable for hair nose, mustache and eyebrows, and I’ll be evaluating it for those three uses. It has a chunky body – a square cross section about 2.8 cm. across with pleasantly rounded corners that make it almost circular. This chunkiness comes with a some benefits. I have a similar unit powered by a single AA battery, and it’s much less powerful than this unit. You can actually feel the torque in your hand when you press the Power button and the motor starts spinning. That translates into higher blade speed, which makes short work of the trimming jobs it’s suited for. As shown in a photo, it comes with a nose-hair head and a head most suitable for shaping mustaches. The clipping area of that head is too small to make it practical for trimming larger body surfaces. Also included is a guide that slides over the shaping head and makes it useful for trimming clipping eyebrows and moustaches. The guide is two sided, allowing cutting to two different lengths. I’ve included a photo with the fill light increased to make the text on the guide more visible. I found it both fast and easy to use for trimming nose hair, clipping eyebrows, and a clipping and shaping a mustache. Some other observations, and an oddity – I really liked the display of the percentage of battery charge available, as shown in several photos. I can always know where I stand and whether I need to put it on the charger before putting it in my travel bag. Speaking of travel, a case would have been a useful feature. My similar unit also lacks a case and it’s irritating to have to scare up an appropriately sized bag to contain all the parts during travel. One oddity is the way the heads attach to the motorized body. Both heads slide over the end of the power stalk and then are rotated clockwise a small distance to tighten them. As you tighten the nose-hair head you reach a detent and then the head snaps securely into place. But with the shaping head you don’t feel a detent. The head rotates on until it reaches a stop. And it rotates off just as easily without have to overcome a detent along the way. My conclusions – All in all, I’ve very pleased with this product. Although the box may claim some functions that it’s not really well suited for, it does exactly what I want it to do and performs those functions well. I’ve given it five stars. Read more

I really like the fact that this unit uses a rechargeable battery, and so far, it's holding the charge pretty well. The nose and ear trimming works quite well. The device does make some noise, but that is unavoidable for a tool like this. It's not super loud, but less would be preferred. The eyebrow trimming attachment worked pretty well - but - it was not as securely attached to the main body as I would like. It did do the job, but it just did not feel snugly attached. Likewise the body hair trimming attachment seemed a little less secure than I was comfortable with - I was worried that would come loose, and fall off. Overall, this does a good job, with the nose and ear trimming functionality performing quite well, and for that purpose the device was easy to use. Read more
