Okay, it’s unpleasant , but as we get older, we start to get little (or not so little) hairs in inappropriate places like nose and ears. When this phenomenon starts, normal razors just don’t cut it (ba-dump-bump). Razors can’t navigate the nooks and crannies of ears and nostrils. Once I cut my ear trying to trim hairs with my usual razor. I got this little trimmer to replace a AAA- battery powered one by a big name company. It never worked well. It ran choppily and didn’t cut well. This rechargeable trimmer does much better. Just move rhe guarded cutters around where the embarrassing hairs are sprouting. They disappear in rapid order with no pain and no mess. Just clean the head with the enclosed brush after use. It only takes a few minutes once or twice a week with this inexpensive and easy-to-use device. It’s also small enough to be convenient for travel. I’ve had mine for several weeks and haven’t needed to recharge it since the initial charge. Read more

UPDATE: The unit finally died after 2 and a half years of use. The past 2 years, the battery is so weak that I had to charge it for HOURS before it would even move. At that weakened state, it would barely work enough to cut hairs. The included battery is only rated for 1.2V, so it was barely enough to power the little motor. Checking the components, it looks like a solder joint has broken. Trying to charge it now will just reward you with a super hot unit that you can barely hold in your hand. I'll try and fix the broken solder joint just to get it work again... First of all, right out of the box, the silver cap on the cap of the unit fell off. I dunno if it was glued on, but I cannot put it back without some kind of adhesive. The unit works well for that it does, and it has better power than my other model that uses a single AA battery. Due to it's cutter design, there is a lot of friction with it and the head of the trimmer; this causes a lot of heat to build up when used for an extended amount of time. This can get uncomfortable when sticking it up your nose or in your ears. There is not signal to tell you the battery is done charging. I have had it plugged in for over 3 days, and the red light just stayed on. Also, this area around the red light does get pretty warm when it's lit for hours. Cleaning the head is straight-forward, but it's not as easy as you think - you need to poke and prod with the included brush to get all the little bits of hairs to dislodge and come out. Read more
