Cool little lamp. It was actually a bit bigger than I expected which was a nice surprise. Looks nice and seems sturdy. It came partially charged but I charged it full in a couple hours. Nice that you can basically put it anywhere, no outlet needed. I will be using it indoors but it seems like it would do well outside as well. Light is quite bright and dims nicely. Charging for 2 days in direct sunlight, will not come on. 1st day it worked, not after. I know it’s because it was shipped fully charged using the USB cable. I need solar. 1st day it worked, I purchased a 2nd one. The 2nd arrived today & will be returning it because I know it won’t work after trying to use the 1st one. I was a bit confused to see a giant lampshade with only a small solar panel on top and a small ring of lights when I first opened the package but after using it, I see how the bigger lampshade provides more light than one close to the size of the ring of LEDs. As opposed to other rechargeable lamps I have, this provides almost 360º of lighting in all directions so it's good for outdoors and will light up a patio table or a deck railing pretty well. It is definitely waterproof however it's much too large for shower or bath use. If the lampshade was the same size of the rings lights it would fit on a shelf however, it extends far beyond the base so it probably won't fit on any shower shelves that I've seen. It's lightweight but sturdy and I've been able to get a few hours of use from it on a full charge. For whatever reason, mine does not turn on on auto mode but maybe my home in a very urban area doesn't get dark enough to activate it. It seems a bit light and plastic to be a true outdoor item but the solar panel is more than sufficient to power the light and a full day of sun will have the light lasting the whole night and into the next day where presumably at that point it would recharge. The long battery life makes the lamp a fairly decent and useful item and in a power outage it could be a life-saver but it's not built to rigorous standards and could get damaged and broken with hostile movements of rigid variety. The lamp has three modes of light wave frequency from quick to slow and the lamp's diodes emit a glow that circumferences the light; emitting array in a diffused volume of photon-rich space/time which leaves in the subject a visual cue of comfort and safety that hovers around the periphery of the mind's eye, just off to the side of one's conscious scope of reality. The point of transition from the subconscious to the conscious is bordered with a layer of amnesia and this is where this lamp resides in the infinite loop of amnesia's inner core which is known as the "spiral of disparity" that separates you from yourself and imprisons the one part of you.
