My previous dashboard mount lost its adhesive after a while. I ordered this Nulaxy one looking for something more reliable. Installation was simple. Clean the dash, stick the base on, and it has stayed in place ever since with no signs of coming loose. The magnet is very strong. My iPhone 17 Pro with case snaps on securely and stays put over rough roads. I really like that I can just pull the phone off with one hand instead of fighting with clamps like with my old phone mount. My phone has come off the dash a couple of times over big bumps but that’s only happened a couple times. It could have been because I didn’t place it directly centered on the magnet. The Good: Strong magnet, sturdy build, and it works surprisingly well as a bedside stand for my iPhone 17 Pro. Holds the phone securely and at a good angle. The Not-So-Good: The base is massive. The media could not be loaded. When I ordered this, I planned to use this in my car; however, when I opened the package and saw how large the base was and the adhesive area, I realized that it was not going to work as a phone holder in my vehicle. Instead, I was able to pivot and use this in my WFH set up. As my home office workspace has become more cluttered with things , I was constantly burying my phone underneath piles of papers and other such things. I need a homebase for my phone while I am working. This phone holder was the perfect solution. I ended up, attaching it to the shelf above my desk, and because it is very flexible I have found that it has increased my productivity having my phone always in one location and hands-free. When not in use, the magnetic arm is able to be collapse down into the base helping to move it out of the way and minimizing the clutter on the shelf. When I am ready to use it, the arm folds up and out to a position where I can angle it toward me as I needed it. It came with an extra magnet to use inside my phone case because the case I have didn’t have a strong enough magnet to hold it securely to the adjustable arm. With the added magnet in my case, my phone sits securely on the holder, and I can even adjust it from a vertical orientation to a horizontal orientation. I have even been known now to be able to watch how-to video or have a hands-free video chat. The features of this phone holder have certainly exceeded my expectations. The adhesive is holding up well, and I have used this on the daily for the last three weeks, inserting my phone and moving it all about many times throughout the day and the adhesive is holding strong. It was super easy to install, just wipe the surface with the cleaner wipe and then the drying wipe, peel off the back of the adhesive strip, and press firmly for 30 seconds. Couldn’t be easier. I appreciate how this car mount was simple to install; just peel and stick. It stuck to my kitchen counter well, but due to reasons I describe below, I was not comfortable testing this in a moving vehicle. The mechanism that allows this mount to move both vertically and rotationally is very, very stiff. I spent several weeks working with it, to see it movement would loosen it up. Nothing that I did loosened those mechanisms. The mechanisms were so stiff that it felt like having to adjust my phone while attached would cause the mount to become free while driving. It also felt like the base of the mount was too light. I know that I have encountered similiar styled mounts before that had bases that were much heavier. This very wide, but also very lightweight, base felt unstable with my phone on it on the kitchen counter. Due to the perceived safety concerns I went into above, I was not able to test this product in a moving vehicle. In general, my iphone 13 sticks to the mount without issue. This unit came with an optional adhesive metal ring that I did not need to use, because my phone case is already magnetic. It's nice to have this option handy, so I appreciate this being included.
