Bought the machine to try making plain soy milk. Looked at all the reviews and most of them wrote about nut milk. Soy milk easily boils over when heated - which will make a big mess if you didn’t put the machine in a bucket or something. My mom likes it “thick” and I mistook it as “very concentrated” until I figured out the magic amount - I use 2 cups (the cup that came with the machine) soy beans and soaked them over night. Washed them and put them in the soy milk maker. It should be enough to cover the bottom of the machine. I then added water to just below the 800 line, covered and it makes the perfect rich consistency for my moms liking - apparently her thoughts of “thick” means “do not strain the mashed beans”. The soy milk is absolutely delicious and she didn’t even want to add sugar like how she normally prefers - said the beans have the natural sweetness. This makes approximately 3 cups. There is something I don’t quite like from the machine. The way the buttons are set up - you have to click “start” then keep clicking “menu” until you get to the right button and if you missed it you’d have to redo. It would have been much nicer if u can just click “menu” then select the button I want then click “start”. I still decided to give it a 5-star as this inconvenience doesn’t negate how much easier this machine has made my mornings Update on 6/25/2025 Not even 2 months into the purchase the device started to act up 5 days ago. It first started with on and off whining noise during grinding then the selection panel flickers on off and either randomly selects buttons or just freeze.
