Nutribiotic Super Shower Gel Fragrance Free 12 Fluid Ounce

Good stuff, gentle, no parabens. I have used the Non Soap by Nutribiotic for years and buy it by the gallon. I tried this for a change in the smaller size to see if I liked it. I can't decide which I like better, both are great. I have always had very sensitive skin and this brand is not the slightest bit irritating in any way. It is so gentle, doesn't strip moisture, but you still feel clean. It is heaven in a shower gel. I use the unscented ones because I prefer no scent. I have use the scented as well and it is a mild, non-offensive scent, nothing irritating or perfumey. Nutribiotic uses quality ingredients, a healthier brand, sells at my local food co-op. I usually do not like the scents of body washes. It makes me wonder, "what am I REALLY cleaning myself with?" I collect essential oil products from Young Living but their body wash products are way too expensive. They basically use a similar base with an X amount of essential oil (1-2 drops per ounce). This body wash allows me to personally customize the scent to what I desire with natural and high-quality essential oils without the high-quality essential oil price. I am probably a unique customer because I do this, and most other customers don't like smells or are careful with what they wash their body with, but this is a great body wash either way. I'm so happy to create my own extended version of it. I have normal skin, this doesn't cause it to dry out. As a male with smelly male parts, underarms, bottom, this gently takes away the b/o smell away. I don't feel like there is an invisible layer of soap on me afterward. I pour a thin "C" shape line of this body wash on my loofah during my nightly showers and this keeps the body wash lasting almost 4 months. Read more

I was looking for a fragrance free shower gel and found this. I read that you don't get the soap scum build up from gels that you do from bar soap. And I think gels are less drying to your skin. Most shower gels that I tried have much too much fragrance for me. I feel this one has some fragrance, but it is more foresty and natural smelling to me. And after using half a bottle, I don't even notice the fragrance any more. Read more

I love this product--what there is of it. It's pH balanced, fragrance free--all good. But I soon realized how thin and watered down it is. Before you know it, you've used almost half a bottle on half a dozen showers. I fantasize about how great it would be if it weren't mostly water. Read more

Very nice shower gel. Love the smell (husband likes it too). I saw a definite improvement in skin texture very quickly and considering how often I don't take time for lotion I can honestly say it was a benefit of the shower gel. I would have given it 5 stars except it wasn't as good as a shampoo. Could have been coincidence but I started "shedding" not long after I started using this as a shampoo. Initially, I thought it was a normal cycle but it increased and continued. When I changed shampoo (Desert Essence Coconut - great, so is the conditioner), I am back to normal. I really can't say enough positive things about the Nutribiotic Shower Gel (Vanilla Chai is my favorite scent). I agree with others who say it does everything it's supposed to do and leaves your skin clean without drying it out. I even use it on my face with my Clarisonic brush (I never thought I'd be saying THAT)! One of the best things about this product, not often mentioned, is that there's no more soap scum since this is a non-soap product (i.e., a "detergent"). Really. Soap scum is a thing of the past. People don't realize that not only is soap scum difficult to clean, etc. but it is also unhygienic because certain bacteria actually feed on it. Have you ever seen the reddish pink/orange stuff sometimes found in toilet bowls or in (strangely enough) newly constructed, remodeled, or unclean bathrooms? It's called Serratia Marcescens and, while not necessarily harmful, it's gross and terribly unhygienic in my opinion. My husband spotted it in our shower after we had our bathroom remodeled and I was horrified because I immediately knew what it was. Serratia Marcescens live in warm, moist environments and feed off of, among other things, soap scum, which is a byproduct of ALL soaps. Soap scum is the residue which forms after soap is added to hard water plus dead skin cells. After an inordinate amount of research I discovered this little known fact and learned a lot about soap and saponification and the difference between soaps and detergents in the process. Since the Nutribiotic Shower Gel is a non-soap product, there is no scum and hence less for the bacteria to feed on. Unfortunately Serratia Marcescens can never be completely eradicated once they've established themselves but this product, coupled with bleach-containing cleaners, has made a tremendous difference in our bathroom. I really love this shower gel. It's vegan, has very little scent which is natural smelling, and does not dry out or irritate my sensitive skin. It also sudses up really well, which I love. I have re-purchased, and find it unlikely that I will go back to anything else in the forseeable future. Read more
