I ordered the NXD RC Truck, 1:18 Remote Control Car with Spray for my grandson for Easter and he absolutely loved it. The truck came with enough charge in it so that he could try it out straight out of the box. Once fully charged the truck didn’t have any problem going across grass, concrete, carpet or dirt. He played with the truck for over an hour before we needed to charge it again. The frame is plastic and seems a little light but after playing with it for awhile I didn’t notice any defects in it and my grandson is not easy on things. So it seems durable enough if it lived through this toddler. It’s so much fun to play with and his favorite part was the water spray that looks like smoke coming out of the back of it. My son loves remote control cars and wanted another one. I looked on Amazon and saw this NXD RC Truck. I liked the features of this RC truck so I got it for him. This truck is 1:18 in size. This Remote Control Car is designed to be all terrain and work off-road. The car operated on 2.4 GHz frequency. This RC truck has a durable Metal Frame and built with sturdy construction. This RC shoots a cool water mist from the back that illuminates with bright cool light effects. This vehicle has a strong suspension system and all terrain tires that grip well. This RC car has a strong motor and drives fast. The remote control is easy to use. The car also has a beautiful paint work panels. The car utilizes a rechargeable battery but it is small and does not last long. I will see if a larger and longer lasting battery is available on Amazon. The remote uses two AA batteries. The car is 7.9x 4.7 x 4.3 inches in size. This car is fair value for the money. Overall, this is a fun RC car that drives fast but the included rechargeable battery is lacking. If the manufacturer upgraded the battery then this would be 5 star item instead of 4 star. Read more
This little RC truck is okay at best. It works a little, but it doesn't really work well or consistently. Most of the time the controller input doesn't translate to movement. You press forward and it might go, or it might sit there, turn randomly, or do nothing. When it does move, it's slow and sluggish, even on flat surfaces. It comes with a single small battery that only lasts about 10 minutes of actual playtime. The worst part is the battery compartment. It requires a tiny screw to hold it closed, so recharging becomes a chore. You have to unscrew it with a tiny screwdriver, remove the battery, charge it, put it back, and screw it shut again. This is not something an intended age group (6-12) should have to deal with, and it makes quick swaps impossible. The only thing that works really well is the little vapor chamber. It sprays mist reliably every time you activate it, and it looks very cool when the truck is moving. That feature alone is fun and consistent. The rest of the toy is garbage in my experience. Poor responsiveness, short battery life, and a frustrating battery access design make it more annoying than enjoyable. Pros: Vapor spray feature works reliably and looks cool Cons: Inconsistent and poor control response Very slow when it does move Battery lasts only about 10 minutes Battery compartment requires a tiny screw (chore to recharge) Not suitable for the intended kid age group due to screw access This RC truck falls short on everything except the spray gimmick.
