If they fit right, they're definitely worth the price.

Wow. I just looked and the price went up to $129. I paid $78 and I thought that was high. But just keep an eye on them, the price fluctuates a lot. I really want to help people decide whether to get these jeans or not. I pore over the reviews first, and at this price, as much info as possible helps. :) Here goes... I'm 5'7" about 135 lbs. with a long torso and a thick waist. I literally have no bum, thanks to a recent surgery, so I pretty much live in leggings with long shirts. I used to live in jeans (Calvin Klein-always fit perfect) and now the material just hangs there. Bummer! Anyway, a friend told me to try NYDJ as everyone she knows loves them. I decided on the Marilyn, because I like a straight leg. I chose the Lombard shade, because I like a medium shade of blue that has a grayish, acid-washed tint. This shade also has whiskering. I have to say, I LOVE this shade! I ordered a size 8 after reading the company's advice and most of the reviews. They are right. DEFINITELY go down a size from your normal one. I usually wear an 8 or 10. I thought about going down to a 6, and if I wanted them tight and form-fitting, I probably could have, but I like my clothes loose-fitting. That being said, the 8 was a little more loose than I like. I almost needed a belt, which with my thick waist, I almost never do. The fabric is a thicker, heavier jean material than I like. They also are kind of stiff. They probably would get softer with washing and wear. I don't think they would shrink, even putting them in the dryer, due to the stretch of the material. The length was just a tad long, probably a 32", but I was barefoot. They probably would be fine with a small heel. I have to admit I really liked them. They checked off all the boxes. EXCEPT... remember my lack of bum to fill it out. I SO wanted them to work. But realistically, at that price, I just couldn't keep them. I'm probably stuck with leggings and long shirts for the rest of my life. SO... if you can get past the price, I think most women would love these. The fit is flattering to most figures. They're casual, yet you could easily add a nice blouse and heels or boots, to dress them up. Don't forget these are straight-leg, not skinny or bootcut. There are a lot of shades/washes to choose from. AND DEFINITELY SIZE DOWN! I hope this review can help you make up your mind. Cheers! Read more

I'm a high rise convert, these are perfection! I'm small but have the muscle tone of Wonder bread plus I'm a 62 Y O grandmother. But in these jeans? I don't look it. I'm 5 7 @ 127 lbs - 29" waist and 39" hips and I bought the size 4 with 32" inseam which is More than long enough. I sew so non issue. My problem area is heinous muffin top if jeans not "just right" and many times I wear a Spanx cami to compensate for this. Not comfy in the south east summers lol. No Spanx needed with these. I'd always thought if I avoid my waist all together I'd avoid muffin top hence low waist line pants, I was wrong! These fit excellent in crotch which can also be another issue with me. The dreaded CT lol. heavy enough fabric that these are not see through, wearing black under things in this picture. Not blessed in the back of the house and these make the most of what I've got by being nice and snug without flattening what I have, great back pocket placement. Nice and higher but not too high up. I'd just tried on $200 white jeans yesterday at the mall but they were too sheer not to mention too expensive for what they were offering me. I'd pay if I had to but... Came home and went on Amazon, ordered Joe jeans at big $ and ordered low at this price. Ecstatic to Find these on my door step this morning and put them on to find my happy place in my fitting world. I can't believe the price of these and am ordering another because coffee guzzling me and white anything means I always order two if I love it lol. Read more

These went right back because no one needs see through pants!

These jeans came quickly and were packaged will. They fit well and were true to size. However they failed the ultimate white jean isuse- they were see through! Even with pale underwear on, the pants were still totally see through. You could not wear this to work or church as they look cheap. They seemed to be good quality other than that. Read more

Worth the trouble to hem them!

These jeans, sized down as the manufacturer recommends, are the absolute best jeans I have ever worn! My first pair of NYDJ jeans and they will be my go-to from now on. I have a pear-shaped body, with a small frame and am 5'4"-borderline petit. Normally I am a size 4, but I got a 2 in these and the fit was perfect except that they were too long; I had to take 4 1/2" off of the length. The fabric is so comfortable, with just the right weight for the warm climate where I live, and just the right amount of stretch to be comfortable. Jeans are very personal, and every body is different, but I am in love. The dark tonal wash is really a blue, but a very dressy dark blue. And the pockets with the extra detailing really make them stand out more than a typical pair of jeans. For me, it was totally worth the trouble to hem them! Read more

No go

These jeans if nydj are defective. I have marilyn jeans and these are nothing like them in fit. Very short in the stride and about 2 inches from any possibility of being able to zip in a sz 16 Read more

Very flattering, so comfortable!

I bought the NYDJ Marilyn jeans in Biscayne. I absolutely love them! I'm 5' 6", 140 lbs, and in most clothing brands I wear a size 10, but I sized down to a 8. I also tend to be short torsoed and long legged, and the length is perfect. They fit great, a bit of stretch and slouch, and the look is very slimming. It gives my legs an elongated look, and the waist is very comfortable. The material is the perfect weight for spring, fall and winter. Read more
