This bag is great. I wasn’t a fan of the electricians fastener pouch with the tape pocket above the main pocket. But this one is great. Fits good. Durable obviously good from occidental. Expensive but worth it. East access to all pockets Read more

FYI the right-hand version of this bag is for a “right-handed” person to wear on their left side. This is so your speed square goes into the bag pocket correctly. There is a rivet between the bags where the square goes that only lets you put it in the one way. Great quality, very light weight Read more

Dunno what took me so long to try this one out. Eliminating the upper pouch gives you access to the main large pouch for fastener storage. This pouch has two spots for tool shields or for your torpedo level or add a little old sock or shirt to pad up the bottom, a perfect spot for your laser distance finder. The two pockets and main bag design create a nice squared off fastener compartment in the main bag. It also offers both the standard speed square storage between the bags and also offers a slot more similar to traditional and diamondback/badger speed square storage. Which that slot can be used for a cut list or digital miter gauge or whatever other tool. The outter double fastener pouch also seems larger in width and depth than the same positioned pouch on the four pocket fastener bag. I'd throw on a diamondback or other flat bar sleeve and run a separate tape holster just behind this pouch on my belt and be totally satisfied for both carpentry and electrical work. I don't understand why occidental continues to offer the 3 and 4 bag leather/nylon fastener bags with the upper pouch. It makes accessing the large main section inconvenient to impossible. I would make this finisher bag with a leather top like the rest of the bags and run it on all their setups to be honest. If anything, they should just add a third pouch to the outside of the double pouch on this finisher setup for those who need to carry more or different fasteners. Read more

Both small pouches will hold 3 1/2" screws easily. Will hold strips of gun nails or dang near anything else you need to throw in there. The quality of Occidental products is outstanding. FYI, This is bag #9520 ordered right hand version as right handed person would wear this on their left side. Read more

Impressed as I knew I would be. Quality cannot be beat. I am an electrician and need pockets for a variety of tasks and this fits the bill for both residential and commercial settings. It does have one less pocket than some of the other Oxy fastener bags and that is just fine for me. I am quick with this pouch and its very easy to move around with. Read more

My 5 year old homedepot special $40 pouch wore out. I mean wore out everywhere - I had holes in main bags, cuts in slots made by non retractable utility knife, seams and stitching fails and rivets barely holding it on my belt. It is really hard to find good tool belt. I am used to some features and dont want to change my habits. On my left I need: bag for tape, chockline, pocket for speed square and slots for some minor left hand tools ( like torpedo or small flat bar ), and two fasteners bags. Two fasteners bags cuts my choices to a handful of pouches, most of which are either inadequate quality or too bulky. This 9520 is right quality and comfortably sized. I wish it had few more pockets/slots inside main bag to keep stuff organized. On my right I need something like electricians pouch. I dont need any fastener bags but I need lots of pockets. I have a hard time making a choice. Occidental Leather 1555 Nylon Electrician's Pouch seems to be too small. Occidental Leather 9521 Oxy Finisher(TM) Tool Bag is a match to 9520 but really could use few more pockets in place of that fastener bag. And Occidental Leather 5589 Electrician's Tool Case is pricey and I would have to see it in person to be sure it is what I need. I decided to get 9521 and try to fit in. Funny I always thought I am working light - not carrying excessive amount of tools. I was a bit surprised after emptying my old bags... I think I will upload some pictures when my other pouch comes and I settle in. Read more

New to the carpentry trade, bag was recommended by one of the verterans on my first job, great place to start, is truely built for the purpose. However once it breaks down (hopefully a few years from now) I would like to find one of similar make but perhaps with an additional large pouch at the bottom. Read more
