This blanket is awesome and big enough for 4 people. The colors are very bright and the printing is also well done. Sand does not stick to the blanket at all. It comes with this tiny pouch and I thought there was no way it would fold up small enough to fit in the bag, but it does! When it’s in the bag it’s smaller than a 40 oz Stanley and weighs less than one pound. This was a great alternative to packing four addition beach chairs on our summer vacay. I absolutely loved this! It's vibrant colors and easy to lay on the beach, easy to pick up, shake sand off, fold up then put up. I read many negative reviews but had they read the product details they would know what they were purchasing. Yes I laid my towel down on top of the blanket. The blanket kept my towel from getting sand in it! Which is why I wanted it. It's plenty large enough for 4 people to stretch out on & lay out. It wasn't defective, it didnt fade. The pockets for the sand on corners kept it from flying away. I'm glad I purchased it. I used it on soft sandy beach & was comfortable. Read more

This Extra Large OCOOPA Marine Life Series Beach Blanket is quite large, large enough for a family to sit on together on the sand or lawn for a picnic or even four people to lie down on it in the park or at the beach. The soft, smooth fabric (parachute nylon) is much easier to keep sand-free and grass-free. Towels may be kept clean for drying off without encrusting yourself with sand. The material is very lightweight and portable. In the above photos, there was a slight breeze and we did need to anchor it down with it being so lightweight, but it's very quick and easy to do so. The carrying bag has a hook on it to help with transport. It can be hooked onto a backpack or a belt or whatever. The color is such a lovely blue and the design is nice. There is no scent. We will likely be using this just in the yard a lot too, as a base for the kids to relax between swimming and playing. We're very happy with this. I purchased the 10 x 10 a week before heading to the beach and we used it every day. It was especially great for the smaller children that needed somewhere to spread out and are always covered in sand! We filled the corners with sand and just a tip for getting your stakes to stay in the ground is too stick them through the loops and then drive them back towards the blanket at a 90° angle, this will hold the blanket down better, I saw some reviews saying that the edges came up. We also used this at the pool on a grass surface with no issues. It stays cool to the touch and truly does repel all of the water and sand and it fits back in the bag very easily.
