Best kept secret in eye hygiene! I started using this after much research on recurrent styes. Optometrist was no help, said it was due to "aging" and use a hot compress for as many times per day as it took for 10 minutes per time. This went on for over a year with 2 periods when I got stye after stye for months. I suspect this is a perimenopause issue at the root given my age and other changes; it has been resolved for over a year now with no styes using this at least once a day after a 10 minutes hot compress in the morning. At night as well if I've used eye makeup. I also feel like it's helped with my dry eye although that could also be the consistent use of the hot compress. Until recently, I had never heard of this product. However, I developed a corneal ulcer caused by severe dry eye and the use of Systane Complete, which accumulated on my eyelashes and created sand like “rocks”. My eye doctor suggested I change brands of eye drop (severity of dry eyes required a prescription) and buy this eye cleanser. It is, indeed, gentle. I don’t notice any stinging and it breaks up the residue left on my eyelashes from using eyedrops at night.
