As a short person, finding pants that don’t need hemming feels almost impossible. Just because I’m petite doesn’t mean I don’t want to look put together and comfortable, so I started looking at cropped pants as an option. These ended up being a pleasant surprise. 1. I ordered a large, even though a medium would normally fit me. On my 4’11” frame, high-waisted pants tend to come up very high, so I wanted the option to fold the waist down for a more natural fit—and that worked perfectly. Folding the waistband does reduce pocket depth slightly, but they’re still usable. With the waist folded or unfolded, the length skims the floor just right. I can wear flats or a bit of heel and still get away with the length. 2. The fabric is silky and lightweight, making these better suited for spring and summer. With a thin thermal layer underneath, they could still work in cooler weather. They washed well, though there were a few wrinkles left even after a warm dryer cycle—nothing major, but a quick iron would smooth them out. 3. I wasn’t sure wide-leg pants would work on my short frame, but I love how airy and comfortable they are. They drape nicely and make me feel more fashionable and pulled together. Overall, I’m really happy with these. Sizing up gave me flexibility with the waistband and length while staying comfortable. The fabric is thin and slightly sheer, so panty lines could be an issue for some, but sizing up helped minimize that for me. I bought three colors—black, Nutria, and Espresso Brown. They’re softer, more muted shades rather than deeply pigmented, and all very nice. If you’re petite, don’t want to hem, and want to join the wide-leg club, these are a great option. Read more
Best pants in my closet! Congratulations to the manufacturer who realizes women are different heights. Men have length options, why shouldn't we? I have three pair of these now and wish I could have every color. The only problem I see is that the colors all have a faded look. But I wish I could buy them all. Negative Reasons for 4 stars: Not as breathable as i thought it would be. It's actually quite warm after a while. Although it's stretchy, soft, and comfortable. I would not wear it out during a hot sunny weather all day. You will start to sweat from the waist band area, and would not dry the whole rest of the day. And yes, it does show. These trousers are now my “go to” pants. They are made with soft, smooth fabric that drapes and flows perfectly. Exceptional quality. I’m 5’, 2” & 130lbs. I bought a medium which fits smoothly across the seat and the length reaches to my ankle as opposed to a mid calf length for someone taller. The color is a soft fawn. Pockets are a plus. I bought these pants to wear to work as a comfortable, casual trouser that had a much lower price point than the Lulu lemon soft-stream line. I was very pleased with this pant. Although they look much more casual on than a typical trouser and hang very lose similar to the Y2K gaucho pants everyone would wear, it’s still pleated like a trouser and the comfort is unbeatable (besides real lulu soft-stream). Sizing: I purchased a size small and was pleased with this size. I am typically a size small in tops and bottoms. I am 5’3 and weigh 136 lbs. Although the pants were lose around the entire leg area, the high waisted, thick, comfortable waist band is much more snug, which I prefer because it makes the pant more flattering and I don’t have to worry about the pant sagging or any plumbers crack. 25” inseam. I’m 5’ so these hit me like regular pants but great not have to have he Med. Super soft & love pleats! Great choice of colors. This materiel will eventually pill but I use electric fabric shaver on it. Love! Dress up or down. Read more
