My husband insisted we buy this for our 2 year old daughter, so we can read to her, and maybe do our favorite book readings on birthdays and holidays. (We are both English teachers) Turns out, she ended up reading to us. She loves the whole routine. She gets her stool, book, climbs up, places the book, and “reads” books she has memorized, like the Very Hungry Caterpillar and Pete the Cat books. We are amazed at how this has encouraged reading, public speaking, and eye contact. She’s right up there with my students! She’s 2.5!!! This product is sturdy and easy to assemble. It's compact and can be transported without issue. The overall quality is suspect though. My product arrived slightly damaged and the screws are too weak as they easily strip. I believe it will likely last, but packaging should be improved and better quality screws are warranted. I wanted something that would let me work on my laptop while standing and that would be portable from room to room. This works. I had thought it had casters. It didn't. I bought some glue on furniture slides and this seems to help me push it across carpeting. It is not super heavy, but probably could be a problem for people to pick up who are older. Read more

This Portable Lectern Stand is great for personal use and small to medium group meeting. Might not hold too many heavy books at the same time. But it serves the purpose of my purchase. Read more
