I had this knife in my wish list for a little while and would check it from time to time. This time I checked and was happy to see the knife under the $60 mark. I immediately purchased. Packaging: 5/5 It came in a standard bubble wrap Amazon package. Once I got to the Off-Grid product box, I could tell whatever inside was quality. The packaging is very clean and professional. The box itself is a magnet latch and sturdy pressed foam lines the inside. The cutout in the foam for the knife is as close to perfect as you can get and holds the knife securely. A catalog and a OFF-GRID sticker were also included. Knife: 5/5 The knife has great weight and the G10 handles and scales feel great. The texture is perfect for a secure grip. The blade swings open smooth and flawless, no matter how hard you flick the assist. The blade locks securely and has ZERO movement even without the extra locking mechanism engaged. It’s incredible. The blade is very sharp and there is just enough intentional abrasion around all the edges to give it a worn or slightly used appearance. It’s very clean though and actually adds more detail to the blade. The blade is thick and sturdy, but holds a great, super sharp edge. Cons: The only thing I’m not a fan of is the cutout for the belt clip. I love that it is recessed into the handle and the clip is very solid, but both sides have the cutout so you can switch the way the knife faces in your pocket depending on left or right hand. This means, one side has the clip and the other side has the cutout where the clip could go. It doesn’t effect the knife in anyway, it’s just personal preference. Conclusion: I highly recommend this knife. Even at its original price, it’s a steal. This knife could easily sell for $150-200. It’s that good. So, I would order one now, before they realize what I just said… Read more

Best folder I've ever owned by far! I can't stress this enough, this is high quality, easy open, easy closed, the best liner lock to disengage. It came with two clips! I have both installed so I don't have to choose which side to carry on. Thickness and quality of the blade is superb, holds an edge and keeps it. It's the right size, comfortable and the price is great for all your getting! By all means, do not purchase this that way I have more to get for myself! This is my favorite folder by far and I carry (carried) some high end knives. Go for it!! Read more

off grid knives makes amazing knives. Even the folders are overbuilt and solid. I have the viper 2 (amazing) and the badger edc. The badger is such an impressive knife. ESPECIALLY for the price. Just buy one. Any one. I’m going for the mamba v3, next. I have no issues handing 300 dollars to this company. Even their packaging and boxes are impressive. Read more

Off Grid Knives needs more recognition! This thing is built like a tank, with utility in mind. Great detent, nicely gimped flipper tab, and the blade rockets out on super smooth action that feels like an auto. No nonsense handle with reversible clip, and filler tab on opposite side. Nice spear point tanto blade with consistent finish, and laser beam sharp edge. I love knives that are designed with use in mind, over fanciful decorations, and the one is it. The file work on the spine seems just for looks until you extend your pointer to the spine for precise cutting, and then it makes sense. I’m getting another one for my collection, because it would be a shame not to use this one. Get one already! Read more

I never thought the day would come that I would get a knife that I love more than the spyderco Para 2. Amazing feel, the weight is perfect, the action is amazing, lock up is solid, razor sharp out of the box! It's better than perfect! Read more

I discovered OTG knives a couple of months ago. Right now I own six of them. These knives are second to none when it comes to craftsmanship and strength. They tend to run a little heavier, (and in the case of the "Fat Boy" a lot heavier), than other brands but, that's the trade off for a such a strong folder. Their prices are more than competitive but, I believe in future OTG will be asking more as they gain in popularity. In our words I feel they are an excellent investment for the collector. The Viper in comparison to other pocket knives I have is truly the tank. To start - the blade has a 4mm spine and using that as a springboard the whole knife is beefed up. So, why 4 stars - because it's a little awkward to flip open. Certainly not as smooth as the Rhino and it also is not an assisted opener. My favorite of the 6 knives I have bought so far is the Rhino. Personally for me the handle is the most comfortable and I love the blade design. I have been carrying it everyday since I got it. In my opinion it's too heavy to carry clipped in my pants pocket. I bought a "Hide and Drink" leather sheath. I took the clip off The knife and I carry it on my belt. Read more
