Not for home use
This mat isn't rigid enough for anything but the shortest carpet. On medium carpet it just sinks in and your chair wheels get stuck in a certain area. It also took a very long time to lay completely flat. The only plus is that it stays in place well because the spikes are sharp. Might be good for an actual office, but would absolutely not recommend for home. I'll be ordering something thicker. Read more
Not rigid enough, won’t lay flat.
I wish I had bought a mat that ships flat. This mat was really hard to unroll and even after weighing it down for a couple days, the corners are still curled under a bit. On top of that, the mat is not rigid enough and it’s difficult to roll the office chair around on. I feel like I will be replacing this very soon. Read more
Mediocre
I agree with other reviews, it came very tightly packed and was difficult to unroll. Once I did unroll it, it took quite a while to get more or less flat, after putting full five-gallon water bottles all over it. The edges still curl down to some extent, and probably always will, but it is certainly usable, and it's clean and shiny. Also, the ride on top is sort of bumpy becaue of the cleats underneath, even though I do have the low cut carpet that it's designed for. Bottom line is that it is sort of flat, and the ride is sort of OK, the price was competitive, and I can't say that it's bad, so it earned three stars. Read more
